Show Funeral Rites for John R. Mustos Held on Monday Funeral services for John R. Mustos were conducted Monday at 12 noon in the Manila Ward Chapel. The impressive rites, with Counselor Hal Haycock conducting, conduct-ing, opened with prayer by Bishop Bish-op Harvey Smith. A biographical sketch of the life of Mr. Mustos was given by a son-in-law, Jay Johnson. A vocal vo-cal duet, "Jesus Lover of My .Soul," was sung by Nelda War-nick War-nick and Ivan Monson, accompanied accom-panied by Hal Haycock. Speakers who paid tribute to the memory of Mr. Mustos and uttered words of sympathy and encouragement to the family were Walter Leonhardt and William Freeman. The closing number was a solo, "In God's Garden," by Stanford Ekins. He was accompanied by Mr. Haycock. Prelude and postlude organ music mu-sic was played by Nelda Wamick. Prior to the church service, prayer pray-er in the home was led by Dan Larrabee. Benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by Clifton Wadley of the bishopric and the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was dedicated by Arnold Bremms. John R. Mustos, 69, died en-route en-route to the American Fork Hospital Hos-pital Friday about 11:45 a.m. after af-ter a heart attack. He .was born Jan. 6, 1890, Corinthus, Greece, to John Peter 'and Elaine Suph-ulos Suph-ulos Mustos. He came to Utah in 1908. He was retired from tine Geneva Gen-eva Steel plant. He married Clara Larrabee, July 13, 1925 in Salt Lake City. Survivors include his widow, and daughters and sons, Mrs. Elaine Pappas, Artesia, Calif.; Mrs. Sarah Sar-ah Johnson, Sootsdale, Ariz.; James Mustos, Milton, Mont.; Peter Mustos, Pleasant Grove; 11 grandchildren. |
