Show Funeral Is Held Monday For M P. Williamson Funeral services were conducted Monday for Maynard P. Williamson, William-son, native of Pleasant Grove, who died Thursday in a Provo hospital. The service was held in the Pleasant Grove First Ward Chapel, directed by Bishop Fletcher Flet-cher of the Provo 3rd ward, who gave a brief sketch of Mr. Williamson's Will-iamson's life. Invocation was offered by Bishop Bish-op Rulon Nichols of American Fork. A vocal duet "In The Garden" Gar-den" was sung by Mrs. J. E. Hard-man Hard-man and Mrs. Lee Beers. They were accompanied by Miss Maralyn Mar-alyn Walker. First speaker was Parley Chist-ianson, Chist-ianson, who spoke feelingly of childhood and young manhood memories, and paid high tribute to Mr. Williamson's skill in his work as master of his trade. Bishop Bis-hop Harold Bullock also a boyhood boy-hood pal, also told of the departed man's untiring struggle to attain perfection in his line of work, and told of requirements to be filled to obtain eternal life. Miss Gwen Lewes, accompanied by her mother Mrs. Floyd Lewes, sang, "A Perfect Day." M. S. Christianson, an uncle, told of the trials and unfaltering faith of Mr. Williamson's forbears who gave up all for the gospel of Christ and told of the plan of life and eternal salvation as set forth by Jesus. After closing remarks by Bishop Bish-op Flether, Mrs. Gerald Caldwell played a violin solo, "When Day Is Done." She was accompanied by Miss Utahna Walker, who also played prelude and postlude organ music. Benediction was pronounced by Bishop Welby Gammon. Interment was made in the PI. Grove City cemetery, where A. E. Boulter offered the dedicatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all relatives, were: Ralph L. Duke, Kenny Faddis, James Domico, Wendall McAllister, McAllis-ter, Harold Domico and Glenwood Denny. Pleasant Grove First Ward Relief Society arranged the floral flor-al offerings. He was born Aug. 21, 1906 in Pleasant Grove, a son of Hans and Ida Christiansen Williamson He was a machinist and was a member mem-ber of the Provo Third Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. He married Rose Mae Domico in Provo. She survives him, as do one son, Keith, and one daughter, Sheila Williamson all of Provo; 2 grand chldren; his parents, Pleasant Grove, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Preston Gray, Lehi; Mrs. R.ay C. Houtz, West Chester, Pa.; Mrs. James A. Domico, Dom-ico, American Fork, and Pdchard and Stanley Williamson, both of Pleasant Grove. |
