Show Funeral Rites Held For Gloria Jackson Relatives and friends gathered Saturday at 1 p. m. to pay last tributes of respect to Gloria Jackson, Jack-son, and offer sympathy to her family. The services held in the Third ward chapel began at 1 p. m., with Bishop Calvin Walker in charge. Prelude organ music was played by Anne West. Invocation was of- fered by Daryl Huish. First speaker was Parley Chris-tianson, Chris-tianson, a close neighbor of the Jackson family, who in his humble hum-ble way told of the quiet unassuming unas-suming life of the young lady and her family, and of their thrift and hopes. Neils Fugal, spoke of this life and eternity and stressed this idea a way is prepared by which we may attain enternal life, by obedience obed-ience to the laws of God. Interspersing the speakers Mrs. Malcolm Christianson, Mrs. Bruce Fugal, and Miss Doril Woolly sang "Your Sweet Little Rosebud Has Left You," and Mrs. Vance West sang "In The Garden." Final speaker to express tribute and appreciation was Bishop Calvin Cal-vin Walker. The closing number, "Whispering "Whisper-ing Hope," was sung by Mrs. Leone Told and Mrs. Malcolm Christianson. Miss Anne West accompanied ac-companied all numbers. Benediction was pronounced by Douglas Nielson, and Theodore Rees, offered the dedicatory prayer pray-er in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where burial, conducted by Olpin Mortuary, was made. Pallbearers were Russell, Maurice, Maur-ice, Paul & Eugene Jackson brothers broth-ers of Gloria, and Darrell Leethem and Norman Cox. Third ward Relief Re-lief Society cared for & arranged the floral offerings. |
