Show Funeral Is Held For Jean Pulley Touching and impressive funeral rites were conducted Saturday at 3 p. m. in the Second ward chapel for Miss Jean Pulley, who died earlier in the week at the Utah Valley hospital. The chapel was filled to overflowing, with relatives and friends of the young lady and her familv The services was conducted by Bishop E. M. Williams, and opened open-ed with prayer by Keith Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Hanson, uncle and aunt of the deceased, sang a duet, "Hold Thou My Hand." They were accmopanled by Miss Beverly Bever-ly Wright. The first speaker was Miss Es-telle Es-telle Fenton, who spoke of our dim knowledge of the preexistance and our faith in the Resurrection, and stressed the thought, that God so loved the world, etc. President Merrill N. Warnick in his talk paid tribute to Jean and her parents, and gave fine thoughts of the faith and hope of the hereafter. Interspersing the speakers was an organ solo, "Going Home," by Miss Beverly Wright, who also played prelude and postlude organ music. After closing remarks of sympathy sym-pathy and appreciation by Bishop Williams, E. L. Terry accompanied accompan-ied by Sherrie Terry Balsee sang the closing number, "My Faith in Thee." Benediction was pronoun-by pronoun-by Dr. Thomas Martin of Provo. Burial directed by Olpin Mortuary Mor-tuary was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where Bishop Bish-op Calvin Walker offered the closing prayer. Pallbearers, uncles of Jean, were John Smith, and John Butte' honorary pallbearers and Keith Warniok, Robert Monson, Karl George,, James Christensen, Earl Ross and Leon Neilson. Flowers were arranged by Second Sec-ond Ward Relief Society. Boy Scouts attended the funeral in a body, in respect to their scout scoutmaster Ray Pulley. |
