Show Funeral Is Held Thursday For James A. Anderson Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. for James Stanford Anderson, 69, active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who died Tuesday morning at his home after a lingering illness. A native of Fountain Green, Mr. Anderson was born Dec. 19, 1882, a son of Andrew and Eliza Allred Anderson. He was reared in Emery County, where he attended school. He married Sarah J. Williams on June 10, 1910, in Castle Dale and the ceremony was later solemnized solem-nized in the Manti Temple. Mr. Anderson was a high priest in the Grove ward and had served in the superintendency of the Helper Hel-per Sunday School for two years. He was a bishop of the Royal ward for one year and worked in many other church activities. He moved his family to Pleasant Grove in 1946 and they have resided re-sided here since. Survivors include his widow; four sons, James S. Anderson, Orem; DeLeal E. Anderson, Pleasant Grove, and LaVar and Merrill D. Anderson, Pleasant Grove; one daughter, Mrs. Wanda A. Marrott, Pleasant Grove; 19 grandchildren; grandchild-ren; three brothers, Wiley P. Anderson, And-erson, Price; Edward A. Anderson, Manti; and Warren Anderson, Emery, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Worthington, Manti; Mrs. Emil Hanson, Fountain Green and Mrs. Laretta Foot, TaylorsviUe. |
