Show Marvin Johnson Funeral Rites Held Saturday Relatives and friends gathered Saturday afternoon at the Third ward chapel to pay final tribute to the memory of Marvin L. Johnson, John-son, and express sympathy and appreciation for his family. The touching and impressive services began at 2 p. m. with Bishop Calvin Walker in charge. Invocation Invocat-ion was offered by Byron Fugal. Speakers who paid tribute to the dead boy and spoke words of hope, faith and encouragement to the bereaved mother and familv were Neils Fugal, Fred Scholes, and Joseph S. Walker. Musical numbers included a vocal voc-al duet, "Sometime We'll Understand" Under-stand" by Mrs. S. W. Hilton and Elwood Allen, accmopanied by Mrs. Mary Neves; a vocal duet, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" by Mary Vance and Dick Devereaux, accompanied by Anne West; and the closing number, "Going Home," by Alene Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, accompanied by Anne West, who also played prelude and port-lude port-lude music. Closing remarks of sympathy and appreciation were made by Bishop Walker. Benediction was pronounced by Daryl Huish. Interment was made in the PI. Grovce City cemetery, where the dedicatory prayer was offered by Neils Fugal. Pall bearers, all close friends of the departed were Thorel Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, Jay Paul, Lyle Christiansen, Christian-sen, Bob Newman, James Walker, and Leonard Sorenson. |
