Show Plans Are Changed for Celebration For School Kiddies Plans have been altered for holding a parade for children of grade school age on December 23, in what was to have a "Toyland" theme with Santa Claus taking part Saturday, December 23rd. By unanimous agreement' ;' of school authoritiesj PaWt&?a,eE2, (ir-a Association and tfie Pleasant 6rov Jaycees, it hks been--decided that the. date will be Friday, Dec. 22 instead of Deo. 2,3 as planned. The change, according ' .tpy Don, Stubbs, president of the Jaycees, was made in order that children of rural areas might participate in the festivities. Instead of a parade in the down town area of floats by the grade, school children, with the hig-h school band and Santa heading it, the . following program, has' beerf arranged : 9:30 a. m.--Jree picture sthow for the grade school children sponsored by the Jaycees. After the ah;v.- the children " wi3 go back to sohool for lunch. 1 to 2 p. m. Santa Claus will visit each room in the grade school. 2 to 3:15 The Pleasant Grove high school band will play Christmas Christ-mas carols and the fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students will sing near the high school. 3:15 to bus time Santa will give candy to pre-school children and grade school., eiilldren in the park. |
