Show Funeral Rites For Helmas Nelson Are Saturday Funeral services for Helmas M. Nelson for many years a resident of Pleasant Grove will be conducted con-ducted Saturday December 18 at ! 2:30 p.m. in the Third ward LDS chapel. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Earlier services will be held Saturday Sat-urday noon in the Harvard ward chapel in Salt Lake City. Mr. Nelson died Tuesday at his ! home, 131 Yale Avenue, Salt Lake City. He was born on November 21, 1878 in Denmark, a son of Jens and Amelia Westlund Nelson and came to Utah as a convert to the LDS church when a young man. On June 25, 1902 he married Rosa Kate Nelson and with her made his home in Pleasant Grove until a few years ago when they moved to Salt Lake City where at the time of his death he was custodian cust-odian at the Belvedere apartment hotel. He fulfilled a mission for the LDS church to Denmark in about j 1910. At the time of his death he was president of the missionary work in the Liberty stake and was actively engaged in temple work. Survivors include his widow, and three children. Mrs. Verda Carter, and Mrs. Mildren Warne, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Elda Jepson, Hurricane; Hurr-icane; a sister, Mrs. Amelia Hals-trom, Hals-trom, Salt Lake City and 16 grandchildren. |
