Show Mrs. Josephine Draper Dies At Provo Home Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Jos-ephine P. Draper, for many years a resident of Pleasant Grove, who died Monday at her home of causes incident to age will be held Monday August 16. She was born February 23, 1869 at Helsingborg, Sweden to Niels and Maria Wahlstrom Poulson. In 1882 she immigrated with her parents par-ents and brothers to this country and settled in Pleasant Grove, where she spent most of her life. She was married to Zemira T. Draper October 26, 1887 in the Logan Lo-gan LDS temple. Her husband died in 1907 leaving her with a large family of young childrerutqrear. An active member of the LDS church she served as president of the primary, a teacher in the MIA, Relief society and Sunday school and in later years devoted much time to genealogical research and temple work. She is survived by five sons and two daughters, Zira Draper, Cal-iente, Cal-iente, Nevada; Terry Draper, Am- erican Fork, Glen Draper, Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, Owen and Verrill Draper, Provo; Mrs. Stella Holt, Torrey, and Mrs. Amy Reid Hammond, Ham-mond, Indiana, 44 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren; Also four brothers. Professor Wilford M. Poulson, Provo, Ludvig and Charles Poulson, Orem and Edwin Poulson, Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed in the Manavau LDS chapel in Provo at 1:30 p.m. Monday. The body may be viewed at the home of Terry Draper in American Fork Sunday afternoon and evening and at the Manavau ward chapel in Provo from 12 noon until time of service. Burial, directed by Anderson Bros. Mortuary will be made in the family plot in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery. |
