Show Bertha Swenson Funeral Set j For Saturday Mrs. Bertha A Whitley Swenson, Swen-son, 68, died Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs Elmer York, Orem following a lingering lin-gering illness. She was born in Fountain Green Sanpete county, March 20, 1880, a daughter of Joseph and Alice Adams Ad-ams Whitley. She was married to John Swenson February 22, 1900 in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Lindon where they lived most of their married mar-ried life. Mr. Swenson died in Jan. 1937. Mrs Swenson had lived in Orem for the past few weeks. ' She was an active member of the L D S Relief society and other church organizations. She was a member of Windsor ward, until the division of the Timpanogos stake, since when she had been a member of Lindon ward. Surviving are six sons and two daughters. Eldon J. Swenson and Mrs. York. Orem; Orin M., Wendell Wen-dell D., Joseph A., Oscar L. and Wesley D. Swenson. Lindon. and Mrs Luella Walker, Pleasant Grove 29 grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; five brothers and a sister, Earl Whitley, Oakley. Idaho; Ida-ho; Myron Whitley, Emmett, Ida.; Elmer Whitley, Bingham, Otten and Theron Whitley. Orem and Mrs. Robert Gordon, Spanish Fork. Funeral services will be conducted conduct-ed Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Windsor Wind-sor ward chapel by Alroy Gillman of the Lindon ward. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove cemetery, t Friends may call at the Olpin mortuary mor-tuary in Pleasant Grove Friday I and at the home of Elmer York, 12th North and State, Orem Saturday Sat-urday from 10 a.m. until time of services. |
