Show Funeral For Harold Carter Saturday I P.M. Harold Carter, 61, died at a Provo hosiptal Monday at 10.30 P. M. following a three week's illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday Satur-day at 1 p. m. in the Manila Ward LDS chapel, with Bishop H. V. Swenson in charge. Friends may call at the family home Saturday between ten o'clock and the time of the services. Mr. Carter was born in Wood-church, Wood-church, England, August 5, 1878, a son of Edgar and Rachel Thory Carter. He came to the United States as an LDS church emigrant when he was fifteen years of age. He was married on October 27, 1009, to Florence Rohlfing, in the Salt Lake Temple. He has always been an active church worker, and at the time of his death was a high priest. For severel years he was Superintendent of Sunday School of the Bridgeland ward. He came to Pleasant Grove four years ago, and has been engaged in the chicken business since that time. He is survived by his wife, and the following children: Mrs. Lavern Fryer, Mrs. Ethel Fryer, and Mrs. Lillian Bowthope of Holladay, Mrs. Florence Hohlmnn of Altona, and Rvrnn Carter of Pleasant Grove, Utah. Burial will be in the Salt Lake City cemetery, under the direction of Olpin Brothers Mortuary. |
