Show Funeral Held Friday For Mrs Carlson Very touching and impressive funeral services were conducted Friday in the Third ward LI'S chapel far Mrs. Alice G. Carlson, wife of C. B. Carlson, who died August 20 at her home in the Third ward. With Bishop Neil Y. Fugal in charge the service began at 2 o'clock with a vocal duet In the Garden, sung by M,rs. J. E. Hard-fan Hard-fan and Mrs., Leland Beers. They were accompanied bv Mrs. Loile Bailey. Invocation was offered by M. S. Chjristianson. , A short life sketch of Mrs. Carlson Carl-son -was read by Donna Mason. Speakers who paid - tribute to the memory of Mrs. Carlson and spoke words of sympathy ond encouragement en-couragement to the family were Wilford Neves, J. S. Walker and Neils Fugal. All extolled the works of the depairted and the untiring devotion to her family. Musical numbers interspersing the speakers were two vocal numbers, num-bers, That Wonderful Mother of Mine and Hold Thou My Hand, sung by Loile Bailey accompanied by Mrs. Bailey, and two instrumental instrum-ental numbers, A Perfoct Day and Going Home, played by Mrs. Cal- vin Jaco"b, violin and Mrs. Warren Kirk, cello, accompanied by Mrs. Wilford Neves. Closing remarks of sympathy and appreciation were made by Bishop Fugal. Benediction was pronounced by David Fullmer. Internment was made in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery, where Louis Cutler offered the dedicatory prayer. Flowers were cared for and arrangeu by the Third ward relief society. Pallbearers included Louis Walker, Wal-ker, Lynn Walker Ren Bensen, Harvey Neilium, Ray Carter and Frank LarVe. |
