Kicnards lite long resident of Pleasant Grove, who died Saturday morning in a 1 ro-vo ro-vo hospital. me Second ward chapel was well filled with relatives and friends who came. to pay respects to the memory of Mr. Richards and to nis lamily. The services began at 1 o'clock p. m.. with Bishop C. R. Clark in charge. The opening number Jesus Lover of My Soul, .was sung by Mrs. Edith G. Young and Mrs. Ora H. Cfcipman. They were accompanied by Miss Carol Clark. Invocation was offered by A. L. Cullimore. A sketch of Mr. Richard's Rich-ard's life written by Rob Hayes, was read by a grandson Jesse " Walker, who also paid a living tribute tri-bute to his grandfather. Speakers were Clifford E. Young assistant to the Council of the Twelve; E. F. Walker, a long time neighbor and friend of the family, & Burton H. Aadms, former Bish-of Bish-of the Second ward. All spoke in high praise of Mr. Ridhards, his thrift, honesty, and j , dependability, and his strong faith , and courage in the face of handicaps. handi-caps. Tribute was also paid to Mrs. Richards and kind words of faith and encouragement offered. - Other .musical numbers included a vocal solo,, )arnestlys Tenderly, : Jesus is Calling, by Mrs. Edith Young, accompanied by1 Mis Carol : C)afk and'jwo; Vio'Un-dueta; -One 'Fleetig Hour, anf 0' Dry Those Tears, Miss. Dawn Marie Adams . and Mrs. Marilyn R. Wright, with Miss Clark at the piano. Closing remarks were made by Bishop Clark. Benediction was pronounced by Samuel Strong and the dedicatory prayer in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was offered by E. F. Walker. Pall bearers, members of the High Priests quorum were Fred Foutz, Wm. Pearce, H. W. Clark, J. C. Peterson, H. B. Warnick, and J. O. Meeks. " George F. Richards was born in Pleasant Grove, pctoober 27th, 1868,a son of Fredrick and Mary Twills Richards. He attended the schools of this community and the Brigham Young Academy at Provo. He was engaged in farming and cattle raising and was for many years a familiar figure among the riders of the Wasatch range. Mr. Richards was apr-ac'tive member of the L. D. S. Church and served for years in the Lindon , ward Sunday School Superintend-ecy, Superintend-ecy, land was a member of the ward choir. At the time of his death he . was a member of the High Priescts Quorum in the PI. Grove Second ward.. . . He married Ada, Allredge on V October 27, 1886.
