I tv r twc T1 Leaders Plan Objectives As Ward Bodies Organize For Youth Morals Drive ENFORCEMENT LEAGUE EMBRACES ALL OF UTAH COUNTY Ward morals committees of Alpine Al-pine stake affiliated with the Law Enforcement league of Utah county will launch a fight for midnight closing of beer parlors and a ban on Sunday beer sales, appointees decided decid-ed at a meeting Saturday night. Perfecting the Alpine stake division divi-sion of an organization which will reach into every ward of eight Utah county stakes, the committeemen discussed problems of the coming campaign, at the initial meeting here. In charge of the session were George F. Shelley, A. B. Allen and Mrs. Ora Ch:;.an, representatives cf Alpine stake on th3 executive committee of the northern Utah county division, which comprises Alpine, Al-pine, Lehi, Timpanogos and Sharon stakes. Following an explanation of the league's objectives, to combat the evils of tobacco, liquor and beer, especially as they relate to youth of the district, the group discussed plans for the campaign. The fight to ban midnight and Sunday beer was selected as the first objective. The ward committees, although not yet complete or final, were announced an-nounced as follows: First ward Mrs. S. F. Grant, A. F. Gaisford and Frank Brown. Second ward Mrs. James Tatter-sall, Tatter-sall, James Preston and B. N. Chris-tensen. Chris-tensen. Third ward Mrs. R. L. Ashby, Eli J. Clayson. Fourth ward Lloyd B. Adamson, Miss Mary Pulley and Rudolph . Clark. Highland E. O. Maxfield, O. C. Day and H. P. Foster; Alpine not announced. |
