Show o Funeral Service For Mrs. Madsen Scheduled Today Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Eliza Wood Madsen will be conducted conduc-ted today at 2 p. m. In the First L. D. S. ward chapel. Mrs. Madsen, 72, wife of Marius Madsen, died here Monday of apoplexy apop-lexy following a lingering illness. Born in Huntsville on September 29, 1865, a daughter of Charles and Alice Harix Wood, pioneer settlers there, she had lived here most of her life. She was active in the L. D. S. Primary association, Relief society, and Genealogical work. Surviving besides her husband, Marius Madsen, are eight daughters, Mrs. Neita Sullivan of San Francisco, Francis-co, Mrs. Florence Leona Palmer of Detroit, Mrs. Ada Stratton of Aberdeen, Aber-deen, Idaho; Mrs. Myrtle Prestwich of Provo, Lillian Shafter Spencer of American Fork, Mrs. Ann Jackson of San Diego, California; and Mrs. Evelyn Holmstead of Lehi, and Mrs! Vivian Ray of Copperton; two sons! Leonard Marius Madsen of Taft! California, and Melvin Leroy Madsen Mad-sen of Monrovia, California; four brothers, Charles S. Wood of Bur-ley, Bur-ley, Idaho; Joseph Wood of Everett. Washington; Frederick and Benjamin Benja-min Wood of Huntsville, and three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Mozelle Meisner and Mrs. Chloe Adele Doxey of Ogden and Mrs. Laura McCarthy of Los Angeles, and 24 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the family home Friday prior to the services. Interment will be in the American Fork City cemetery. o . |
