Show Joseph J. Overman Maude Edwards Jimmie Lee Allen Joseph Julian Overman, 7f), of Orem. died Tuesday. Oct. 11. HlHK in a boating ;ic-eident ;ic-eident at Strawberry Reservoir. He was born May 21. l!il.l in San I'Yancisco. Calif., a son of Joseph John and Lydia Alice Mauzy Overman. He married Mary Olpin June 7, 1944 in Kio N'ido. Calif. The maniage was solemnized June 22, 1964 in the Salt Lake IJ)S Temple. He received his e cl u c a t i o n i n Washington state schools. Fie served in World War II and receive the Purple Heart, lie worked as a salesman and manager at various locations in N'ephi. Provo and Ogden. He opened his own appliance store in 19t'" in American Fork, which he owned and operated until his retirement in January I HUH. . He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and bowling. He was a member of the BPOK Provo Klks Lodge. He was an active member of the I, OS Church and was a high priest in the Orem 11th Ward. He is survived by his wile of Orem ; five sons and two daughters: Jon Overman, Kevin M. Overman. both of Orem; Jean Overman, Provo; Mrs. Henry (Judy) Post, Plain City; Larry Overman, Ogden; Curtis Overman. Over-man. Huntsville; Scott Overman. American Fork; 22 grandchildren and one great grandchild; grand-child; two sisters: Jane Crabtree. Portland. Ore.; Helen Chapman. San Jose. Calif. Maude Munsee Edwards, Ed-wards, 80, died Thursday, Thurs-day, Oct. 13, 1988 at her home in Spanish Fork from a heart attack. at-tack. She was born Feb. 24, 1908 in Hooper, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Katherine Clark Munsee. She married E.W. Edwards on December 16, 1929 in Shelley, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Sept. 21, 1982. She was educated in Taylor, Idaho and graduated from Shelley, Idaho High School. She has lived in Spanish Fork -for the past 12 years and has also lived in Toppenish, Wash.; Moses Lake, Wash.; Shelley, Idaho; West Jordan; Garland; Gunnison, and Salina. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and has served as secretary. She was a member of the Spanish Fork Senior Citizens. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints andhas served in the Relief Society, Primary, Pri-mary, and Young Worn-ens Worn-ens organizations. Jimmie Lee Allen, 4.r died Oct. 13. 1988 at Needles, Calif, of a heart attack. He was born Dec. 3, ' in Draper, to : Blaine J. and Dorothy I Allen. He married Joyce Edna Allen Jan 31, 1976 at Las Vegas i Nev. He was a truck driver and had driven for Boise Cascade for 14 years and had recently started his own trucking business. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966. He loved to participate with his family in sheep ranching. ran-ching. Survivors include his La ke wood , Calif.: Dorothy Jean and John Carroll, Hawaiian Gardens, Calif.; two brothers: Michael Allen and Ryan Carroll, both of Hawaiian Gardens, Calif. He was adored by his grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was a loving and caring friend and neighbor. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, Lehi, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Pectol ' Lloyd L. West - 's 1 I Ramona Fox Pectol, 72, died Thursday, Oct. i:t. 19HK in Pleasant Grove. She was born Aug. 3, 1916 in Lehi, to Isaac and Annie Rachael Carson Fox. She married Melvin F. Pectol Dec. 26, 1936 in the Salt lake LDS Temple. He died July 27, 1988. She was a member of the American Fork 3rd Ward, serving as a Relief Society visiting Survivors include a daughter, Larae Pectol, American Fork; one brother and two sisters: I toward Fox, Lehi ; s Mrs. Emma Baxter, I Lmdon; Mrs. Bonnie i Petroff, Springville. West, 78, of Pleasant .Grove, died Friday, Oct. 14, 1988 at a Salt Lake hospital of a heart ailment. He was born April 2, 1910 in Pleasant Grove to Vivian Nathaniel and Mary Jane Adamson West. He married Ruby i Harper April 16, 1930 in Farmington. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS Church holding the office of high priest in the Pleasant Grove 9th Ward. He was educated in Pleasant Grove schools and BYU. He owned and operated the Wasatch Inn in Pleasant Grove for many years and later owned and operated the Branding Iron Motel in West Yellowstone. He had been supervisor of maintenance at Cactus Petes in Jackpot, Nev. He had been president of the Pleasant Grove Riding Club and an active member of the Jr. Chamber of Commerce Jeff Beck, Bart Watts, I Michael Harper, Shane West, Tom West, Kent I Allen, Bill Harper and Tim Harper. The family prayer I was given by Kelly Beck. Geniel West 5 played the prelude and postlude. Scott Beck gave the invocation and the life sketch and memories were by Elizabeth Beck and Tom West. He is survived by his wife of Pleasant Grove; a daughter, Mrs. Clive L. (Dixie) Beck, Pleasant Grove; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother and a sister: D. Ford West and Ora Thorne, both of Pleasant Grove. A son, Lloyd Kay West, and a brother, Virgil West, and a sister, Thelma Frampton, preceded him in death. Miller Joseph Claude Miller, 85, of Lehi, died Oct. 15, 1988 at Pleasant Grove, of causes incident to age. He was born Sept. 22, 1903 in Emery County to William Ashmer and Anna Johanna Jensen Miller. He married Greta Farnsworth Nov. 15, 1930 in Richfield. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Mr. Miller was a school teacher, having been one of the original faculty members of the Salt Lake Area Vocational College. He was also an electronics scientist and had worked with the and superintendent, on the stake Sunday School board, and as the High Priests Quorum instructor. in-structor.
