Show Margaret R. Gurney if y I Margaret Ella Richins Gurney, 71, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1986 at her son's home in West Valley City. She was born Aug. 18, 1915 in Pleasant Grove to Mark Samuel and Margaret Elizabeth Wright Richins. She married William Eugene Gurney in Provo on June 7, 1933. . - The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Sept. 26, 1977. She was a sales clerk and served as Primary president and teacher in the LDS Church, and has also served in the MIA and Relief Society. Survivors include one son and one daughter: Bud Eugene Gurney, West Valley City; Mrs. Frank (Deanna) Clementino, Covina, Calif.; eight grandchildren; grand-children; one great Yates officiating. The prelude and postlude were performed per-formed by Beverly Wilson. Leo Richins offered the family prayer. The invocation was given by Mark Lit-tleford. Lit-tleford. Speakers included in-cluded Bishop Yates; Vern Richings, who gave the biographical sketch; Ted Chidester; and Pres. Boyd Stewart. Musical numbers included two duets by Connie and Kenneth Grace, who sang "In The Garden" and "Beyond the Moon." Mark Wilson gave the benediction and Bud Gurney dedicated the grave site at the Lehi City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kevin Gurney, Troy Gardner, Trent Gardner, Gard-ner, Charles Peterson, Ned Miner and Melvin Richins. grandchild; two brothers and two sisters: Leo Richins, Orem; Vern James Richins, Draper; Mrs. Dean (Blanche) Miner, Vineyard; Mrs. Leola Pederson, Midvale. Services were held Monday, Dec. 29, at the Wing Mortuary Chapel in Lehi, with Bishop Don Fay A. Briggs Mrs. David (Leslie) Wickes, Salt Lake; Mrs. Kyle (Michelle) Golightly, Orem; Mrs. Gordon (Rebecca) Hofheins, Provo; four great grandchildren; a twin sister, Fern Johnson, Monterey, Calif. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Leland S. Briggs, and two grandsons, Jason S. and Shawn S. Briggs. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the American Fork Stake Center. Friends, may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the American Fork City Cemetery. Fay Anderson Briggs, 81, of American Fork, died Friday, Dec. 26, 1986 at her home in American Fork of cancer. She was born March 24, 1905 in Cedar Fort to Otto Alfred and Eleanor Hacking Anderson. She married L. Stanford Briggs May 25, 1929 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died July 14, 1983. She was a graduate of Lehi High School and from BYU in accounting. ac-counting. She taught school for several years. She was a member of the American Fork 17th Ward, active in Primary and Relief Society. Survivors include three granddaughters: Woodrow W. Cardon Woodrow Wilson Cardon, 69, died Friday, Dec. 26, 1986 in American Fork. He was born Aug. 31, 1917 in Ophir, a son of LeRoy Phillip and Margaretta Adelaide Call Cardon. He ( married Edna Lois c Turner June 21, 1947 in ( Murray, and their I marriage was later t solemnized in the Salt ( Lake LDS Temple. I He was an Elder in ( the American Fork 15th Ward. He was a veteran of World War II, retired from the Tooele Army Depot in Sept. 1980. Surviving are his wife )f American Fork; a laughter, Donna Pardon, American rork; a brother and hree sisters, Junues Lee) Cardon, Sunset; Belna Call, San Diego, Dalif . ; Faye Gunnel, St. George; and Larita (Sally) Dymock, West Valley City. He was preceded in death by a son, Dale. Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, in the Anderson and Sons Mortuary Chapel. Military rites were conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, No. 4. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. |
