Show George Johanson mmmmm j Miriam Hunsaker Miriam Harrington Hunsaker, 58, died July 4, 1983, in the American Fork Hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1924, to Washburn and Rhoda Harrington. She married Boone F. Hunsaker Aug. 21, 1946. Mrs. Hunsaker is survived by her husband; her mother; a son and a daughter, Dana Hunsaker, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Gale (Kit R.) Cornell, Seguin, Tex.; one grandson; two brothers and sister, Paul Harrington, Salt Lake City, Philk Harrington, American Fork, and Ruby Brown, Richfield, Utah. At her request, no services will be held for Mrs. Hunsaker. Friends and relatives are requested to send donations to the American Fork Hospital Surgical Nursing Unit for the purchase of medical equipment. AM. FORK-George Ephraim Johanson, 56, died Friday, July 8, 1983, in American Fork. He was born June 8, 1927 in Altonah, to Rupert J. and Delphia Miller Johanson. He married Jeannetta Sorensen on Nov. 8, 1948 in Redmond, Utah. They later divorced. He was a veteran of World War II and a mechanic. He was active in AA. Survivors include five sons and two daughters, Ernest John Johanson, American Fork; Charles Arthur Johanson, Peter William Johanson and Frank Rupert Johan son, all of Lehi ; George Allen Johanson, serving with the U.S. Army in San Miguel, Calif.; Mrs. Steven (Irene Marie) Wayman and Mrs. Charlene Archer, both of Orem; 13 grandchildren; grand-children; his mother of Provo; two brothers and a sister, Harold ; Johanson and Mrs. ; Ronald (Mary) Ericksen, both of : Provo; and Ralph ; Johanson, Salina. Funeral was Tuesday, in the American Fork 7th LDS ; Ward chapel, with ; Bishop Melvin Bowman -officiating. Burial was in Salina City cemetery. Jane Shumway Earl Loader Walton Foulger Jane Lee Shumway, 61, died June 28, 1983, in Salt Lake City. She was born Aug. 6, 1921, in Mapleton, Utah, to John Arnold and Ellen McKell Lee. She married Arlo B. Shumway April 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mrs. Shumway was educated in Springville Schools. She was active in the LDS Church and held many positions in that organization. She was employed by the Utah State Hospital in Provo for 17 years. She is survived by her husband; two sons and three daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Dianne) Wimmer, American Fork, Gary L. and Mrs. Brian (Jana) Park, both of Orem, Dale A., Highland, and Mrs. Jim (Jill) Mills of Woods Cross, Utah; 13 grandchildren; grand-children; a stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Lee, Bountiful; one brother and five sisters, John A. I Lee, Bountiful, Mrs. Emma Cressal, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Lucille Hanks, Salem, Mrs. Grace Bate, Springville, Mrs. Ruth Jones and Mrs. Harriet Burt, both of Mapleton. Funeral services were held July 1 in the American Fork 13th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the American Fork City Cemetery. He was a member of the American Fork LDS -5th Ward and a member of the High Priest quorum. He was a past president of In-termountain In-termountain Professional Professio-nal Photographers Association. Mr. Foulger was retired from U.S. Steel. He graduated from Weber State College and Brigham Young University. He also taught at Weber State College. He is survived by his wife of American Fork; three sons and two daughters, David C. and Michael C, both of Salt Lake City, John C, Lehi, Mrs. Alice Halverstadt, Alpine, Mrs. Kate Lawrence, Tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; one . brother and one sister, Kenneth Foulger, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Curtis, Honeyville, Utah. Funeral services were held July 5, in the American Fork 5th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Edward Morgan PL. GROVE-Earl Elias Loader, 89, died Tuesday, July 5, 1983 in the American Fork Hospital. He was born March 20, 1894 in Murray to Henry and Annie Pierce Loader. He married Eva May Lewis on Dec. 11, 1919 in Provo. The marriage later was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died April 22, 1944. He married Mary Ann Price Roundy on July 2, 1947 in Evan-ston, Evan-ston, Wy. She died July 24, 1975. He married Rose Shoell on Oct. 30, 1976. Mr. Loader had lived in Pleasant Grove all of his life, where he worked as a fruit farmer. far-mer. He has served on the Pleasant Grove City Council and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was a World War I veteran. He was a member oi the original Strawberry Days Committee and was honored in June, 1983 as the last surviving sur-viving berry grower in Pleasant Grove. ' He helped organize the Pleasant Grove riding club and rodeo grounds. He was a member of the original Old Folks Committee and a member of the LDS Church, serving as a high priest in the Pleasant Grove 12th LDS Ward. Survivors include his wife of Pleasant Grove; four daughters, Mrs. Fred (Jeanne) Alldredge and Mrs. Myrle (Eva Erlene) Lindsey, both of Salt Lake City; Drucilla Smith and Mrs. Lowell (Barbara) Baxter, both of Pleasant Grove; 19 grandchildren, 68 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie Pearl Davis, Salt Lake City; five stepsons and one stepdaughter, Waldo Roundy, San Diego, Calif.; LaMar Roundy, Clawson; Raymond Roundy and Glen Roundy, both of American Fork; Mrs. Emmett (Shirlene) Stratton, Bountiful; Bruce Roundy, Salt Lake City. Funeral services were held Saturday. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Services were unaer the direction of Bishop Richard M. Warnick of the Pleasant Grove 12th Ward. Pallbearers were ; Lowell Smith, Ernest Smith, Kay Alldredge, John L. Baxter, Brad L. Baxter, Kim Alldredge and honorary : pallbearers Brett Lindsey, Waldo Roundy and Alvin Bowden. The family prayer ' was given by Todd Lindsey and the prelude I music was played by Peggy Dyer. The invocation in-vocation was by Lowell J. Baxter. 4 Bishop . An organ solo was : played by Peggy Dyer. A speaker was Harold Jacklin and Barbara Jensen sang "I'll Walk With God" accompanied ac-companied by Laurel Blomquist. Patriarch T. Ardie Adams spoke and the benediction was by Myrl Lindsey. The postlude music was played by Fred Alldredge who also dedicated the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. WALTON EVANS FOULGER Walton Evans Foulger, 72, died July 1, 1983, in his residence in American Fork. He was born Oct. 22, 1910, in Garland Utah, the son of David Burton and Esther Maude Evans Foulger. He married Lucy Joanna Cragun May 29, 1936, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Oct. 9, 1980. He married Lucy Lee Feb. 6, 1981, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Gary Conder LINDON-Edward Nie-lson Nie-lson Morgan, 76, died of complications after heart surgery Sunday, July 3, 1983 in Pleasant Grove. He was born in Levan on Nov. 10, 1906 to Ira Robert and ; Mary Magdalene Hoffiens -Morgan. He married Evelyn C. Allen Wilkinson on June 5, 1950 in Virginia City, Nev. The marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple June 2, 1962. He received his education in the Levan schools. He had lived in Levan, Norwalk, Calif., Orem and in Lindon the past 13 years. He was employed as a carpenter car-penter for the Union Pacific Railroad for 36 years and had retired in 1972. He was a member of the LDS Church and served an LDS Mission to the Canadian Mission and a stake mission to Norwalk. At the time of his death, he was serving as high priest secretary. Survivors include his wife of Lindon; two sons and two daughters, Mrs. Don (Bonnie) Anderson, Lindon; Mrs. Leon (Betty) Wall, Santaquin; Marciene "Pete" Morgan, Richfield; Michael K. Morgan, Pleasant Hill, Calif. ; four stepsons, Allan L. Wilkinson, Concord Calif.; Dennis C. Wilkinson, Garden Grove, Calif. ; Ronald Wilkinson, Orem; R. James Wilkinson, Pleasant Hill, Calif.; 37 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Shepherd, Levan, and Mrs. Wayne (Hazel) Ostler, Nephi. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral was held in the Lindon First Ward. Burial was in Provo City Cemetery. AMERICAN FORK Gary Lee Conder, 12, died Thursday, July 7, 1983 in Lake Mountain Turf Farm, Cedar Valley. He was born Sept. 2, 1970 in Provo to Erwin Dee and Cheryl Cook Conder. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his parents of American Fork; two brothers and three sisters, Bryan D. Conder, Brent Jay Conder, Carey Lynn Conder, Susan Ilene Conder and Melinda Ann Conder, all of American Fork; grandmothers, Mrs. Thora Conder and Mrs. Alberta Perkins Cook, ; both of American Fork. Funeral was Monday in the American Fork Eighth LDS Ward Chapel. Burial was in Alpine City Cemetery. |
