Show Funeral Rites for Glenwood Wadley Aug. 9 Funeral services for Glenwood Glen-wood Wadley, 72, who died Aug. 6 , 1975 were held last Saturday, August 9, 1975 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel under the direction of Bishop Paul E. Allen. Speakers at the services were Elvin Thorne and Reed Peterson, and a life sketch was given by Paula ZPeterson Faddis. Musical numbers were given by Warren S. Kirk, who sang a vocal solo, accompanied by Winona Kirk and a piano solo was played by Catherine Rees.. Prayers were given by Paul K. Peterson, Jex H. Barber, and Merrill Allen, and the grave was dedicated in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery by Joseph D. Jensen. Pallbearers were Marshal Carter, John Peterson, David Peterson, Glen Carter, Roger Faddis, Steven Jensen and Dale Warby. Mr. Wadley died in the Holy Cross Hospital of emphysema. He was born May 25, 1903 to Richard D. and Mary Ellen Olsen Wadley and married Margie Allred on June 4, 1924. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was a retired foreman at Geneva Steel Co. and a high Priest in the Latter-day Saint Church in the Fifth Ward. Survivors include his widow, Pleasant Grove, three daughters, Mrs. Jex H. (Gloria) Barber, American Fork; Mrs. Paul K. (Doris) Peterson, Lehi; Mrs. Joseph D. (Linda) Jensen, Tempe, Arizona; 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters, Merlyn R. , Arvil, Clifton J. Wadley and Mrs. Fern Harris, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Vern (Grace) Chipman, American Fork; Mrs. Phil (Lucille) Hansen, Newport Beach, Calif.; and Mrs. Eldon (Leah) Robinson, North Ogden. |
