Show Funeral Rites Held Tuesday for Preston G. Shoell Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 20, for Preston G. Shoell, 63, of Pleasant Grove who died Saturday morning at the Utah Valley Hospital of a heart attack. The services were under the direction of Bishop Gordon K. Allred, of the First Ward. Speakers at the services were Bishop Joseph Beveridge, and Bishop Lynn Cullimore. Bishop Allred also gave remarks, and Bishop Harley Gillman gave a life sketch. Musical numbres were sung by Jeanne Walker and JoAnne Brady, William E. Petersen, and by grandchildren. Prayers were given by Ned Shoell, Leland Shoell and John Siler, and the grave, in the PI. Grove City Cemetery was dedicated ded-icated by; Wilson Kenneth Shoell. Pallbearers were John Berry, Neil, and Lynn Shoell, Larry Smith, Steven G. Smith and El-roy El-roy Wilson. Mr. Shoell was born Jan. 11, 1911 in Lindon, a son of George Henry and Rose Ethel Cullimore Culli-more Shoell. He married Mary Elizabeth Wilson on Oct. 25, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Shoell had worked at the open hearth at U.S. Steel's Geneva Works for the past 29 years. He was an active member mem-ber Of the LDS Church, holding the office of High Priest in the First Ward. He was an active temple worker. Survivors include his widow, two sons and one daughter, W. Kenneth Shoell, Salt Lake City; George P. Shoell, Pleasant Grove; and Mrs. Richard (Gay-leen) (Gay-leen) Ellis of Ucon, Ida.; 12 grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters, Ned Shoell, Springville; Lee Shoell and Mrs. Mayne (Virginia) Rushton, both of Orem; Mrs. Roosevelt (Maye) Smith and Mrs. Carma Cooledge, both of Lehi. |
