Show Funeral Services Held Monday For Kate H. Jacobs Funeral services in memory of Kate Halliday Jacobs, 80, who died July 3, of causes incident in-cident to age, were held Tuesday, Tues-day, July 6, 1971 in the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Stake House, under the direction of Bishop Doyle B. Young ofthe Fifth Ward. Speakers at the services were Donna Ash Brock, Jane Robinson Robin-son and Ruelon Robbins, and a life sketch was given by Syd-nee Syd-nee Price Crockett. Bishop Young also gave remarks. Vocal numbers were given by Gene Nelson, accompanied by J. Lorin Jex, and by William Will-iam E. Petersen. Family prayer was given by Dr. John R. Halliday, invocation invoca-tion by Ertmann H. Christen-sen Christen-sen and benediction by Karl Banks. Dedication of the grave in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Ceme-tery was pronounced by Thomas Thom-as N. Fenton. Prelude and postlude organ music was played by Irwin Jensen. Jen-sen. Pallbearers were Jerald Jacobs, Ja-cobs, Michael Price, Phillip Price, Ashley and Aric Weich-mann Weich-mann and Harley Jacobs. ' Mrs. Jacobs was born June 15, 1881, a daughter of J. R. and Mary Robison Halliday. She married H. W. Jacobs Aug. 18, 1909 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 21, 1943. She was an active member of the LDS Church and participated partic-ipated in both ward and stake Relief Societies. She was a charter member of the Mothers Study Club. Survivors include three sons and two daughters, J. R. Jacobs, Ja-cobs, Washington, D.C.; Keith H. Jacobs, Pleasant Grove; Kay L. Jacobs, Highland, Utah County; Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Price, Lehi; Mrs. August G. (Ann Alene) Wiechmann, Og-den; Og-den; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one brother, one sister, Dr. John R. Halliday, Provo, Mrs. Fern Laudie, Or-em. |
