Show PI. Grove Native Dies at 63 SALT LAKE CITY Funeral services for Harold Mathew Wright, 63, 1366 Glenmare Street, Salt Lake City, who died Thursday in a Salt Lake City hospital following surgery, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Hillside Stake Center, 1500 S. 19th E. Friends may call at 255 S. 2nd E. tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the chapel one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Primary Children's Hospital. A native of Pleasant Grove, Mr. Wright was born Feb. 13, 1908, to Hyrum Isaac and Mary Bezzant Wright. He married Genevieve Fugal on June 17, 1936, in the Salt Lake Temple. At the time of his death, Mr. Wright was serving as Bountiful-Woods Bountiful-Woods Cross Regional Representative of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles of the IDS Church. One of the original representatives called, he had also served in the Taylorsville-Granger Taylorsville-Granger regions. He was a graduate of Brigham Young University and served as president of the Salt Lake Association of Insurance Men and a general agent, assistant manager and sales representative of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 36 years. He received the President's Award and was a member of the President's Club for many years. While in the Pleasant Grove area, Mr. Wright served as second counselor in the Timpanogos Stake and as Bishop of the Pleasant Grove Third Ward. He served a mission to Texas-Louisiana, was president of the Hillside Stake from 1959 to 1967 and first counselor from 1946 to 1959. In June of 1958 he received the Master M-Man award and was also a Scoutmaster. He had been a delegate to the Utah Republican Convention. Survivors include his widow, Salt Lake City; three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Alan R. (Janet) Clyde, Boston, Mass.; Richard M. and David H. Wright, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. LaVar (Marilyn) Krantz, Hawaii; Mrs. Joseph . C. (Suzanne) Rust, Germany; LeGrande F. Wright, serving a mission in New Zealand; 20 grandchildren; two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Calvin (Lucille) Walker, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Austin (Emily) Tyler, Provo; Donald Wright, Centerville; Ruben A. Wright, Gooding, Ida.; I. Leon Wright, Twin Falls, Ida. |
