Show Funeral Riles for -Jane Amritstead Held Wednesday Funeral Services were held Wednesday for Jane Nevada Lund Armitstead, 82, who died Sunday at an Orem rest home of causes incident to age. The services were held in the Grove and Seventh Ward Chapel, under un-der the direction of the Grove Ward bishopric. Harold Bullock was speaker at the services, and remarks were also made by members of the bishopric. A tribute was given by Sharlene Sumsion. Musical selections were given by Warren Kirk, who sang "In the Garden," accompanied by his wife and an organ solo was played by Jean Dixon. Wilma Taylor sang "That Wonderful Mother of Mine, accompanied by Floris Olsen. Family prayer was given by Harold Armitstead, the opening open-ing prayer by Lynn Armitstead and the closing prayer by Harold Har-old Walker. Dedication of the grave in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery was by Keith V. Adamson. Organ prelude and postlude was played by Dorothy More-head. Pallbearers were James Cob-bley, Cob-bley, Bert Cobbley, Eldon Armitstead, Arm-itstead, Neil Armitstead, McKay, Mc-Kay, Leon, Mark, Richard and James Adamson, and John Taylor. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Grove Ward Relief Society. Mrs. Armitstead was born May 12, 1888 in Baker, Nev. to Marunis N. and Mary Jane Ramsbottom Lund. She married mar-ried James Herbert Armitstead Oct. 26, 1910 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Jan. 17, 1960. Mrs. Armitstead was an active ac-tive member of the LDS Church, serving as counselor in the ward Primary and Relief Society, stake secretary of the Old Folks Committee, and as a visiting teacher for over 25 years. She belonged to the DUP and the Garden Club. She was honored as a Gold Star Mother in 1946. Survivors .include three sons and three daughters, Arthur, San Jose, Calif.; Harold and Lloyd, Mrs. B (Ruth) Cobbley, all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. John L. (Sue) Taylor, Provo; Mrs. V. Keith (Louise) Adamson, Adam-son, American Fork; 21 grandchildren, grand-children, 26 great-grandchildren; four brothers and one sister, sis-ter, Henry Lund, Hawthorne, Calif.; Er Lund, Wyoming; Veo Lund, Montebello, Calif.; Collis Lund, Los Angeles; Mrs. Warner War-ner (Fawn) Christensen, Spring City. |
