Show Funeral Services Held Wednesday, June 18 for Parley O. Christiansen tendent of the ward MIA and superintendent of the stake MIA. He had been a high priest group leader also. In 1967 he retired from Fugal Construction Co. Survivors include his widow, of Pleasant Grove; one daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Roy (Karyl) Halla-day, Halla-day, Pleasant Grove; four grandchildren, and one brother and one sister, Earl Errol Christiansen, Pleasant Grove, and Mrs. Norma Kahn, Oakland, Oak-land, Calif. Impressive funeral services for Parley O. Christiansen, 65 lifelong resident of Pleasant Grove, were held Wednesday, June 18 at 1 p.m. in the LDS Third-Sixth Ward Chapel, under un-der the direction of Bishop Carl W. Ringger of the Third Ward. Mr. Christiansen died Sunday June 15 in the Utah Valley Hospital Hos-pital of a heart ailment. Speakers, who paid tribute to the deceased as a devoted husband, hus-band, father, neighbor and church worker, were Robert Penrod and Neil Y. Fugal. Bishop Ringger also gave appropriate ap-propriate remarks. Robert and Lydia Hilton sang a vocal duet, "In the Garden" accompanied by Ann McCaus-and McCaus-and and Nancy Ekins favored with a vocal solo, "A Perfect Day," accompanied by Catherine Cather-ine Rees. Prelude and postlude were played by Scott Smith. Family prayer was led by Eldon Pack, Walter Reimschus-sel Reimschus-sel asked the invocation and benediction was offered by Vir-on Vir-on Washburn. Pallbearers were Wilis Banks Glade Hilton, Bryan Fugal, Lee Peery, Leslie Cromar, Don L. Smith, Joseph Davis and Carl Pack. Flowers were arranged and cared for by the Third Ward Relief Society. Burial was in Pleasant Grove City Cemtery where Grant Fugal Fu-gal dedicated the grave. Mr. Christiansen was born Oct. 17, 1903 in Pleasant Grove a son of Ole M. and Sena Ras-mussen Ras-mussen Christiansen. He married Wyona Pack on Dec. 24, 1925 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Tem-ple. Mr. Christiansen was active in the LDS Church, serving as a high priest in the Pleasant Grove Third Ward at the time of his death.
