Show Funeral Rites Set Friday at 1 p.m. For Roland Smith Roland Smith, 72, Lindon, died of a heart ailment Jan. 30, at home. He was born Oct. 21, 1895, Pleasant Grove, to Melvin and Clara Tomlinson Smith. He married Ella LaVina Cook, Oct. 7, 1919 in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the LDS Church, a Veteran of World War I. Survivors include his widow, sons, daughter: Leon C, Sacramento, Sac-ramento, Calif.; M. Rex, San Jose, Calif.; Mahlon, Lindon; M. Duane, Orem; Mrs. James (Diane) Cook, Pleasant Grove; 18 grandchildren; 6 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, sis-ters, Rudger, Lindon; DeWitt, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Jasper (Rebba) Worthen, Las Vegas, Nevada; Mrs. Lott (Verona) Hess, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; Mrs. Vilate Rodeback, Provo; Mrs. Arnold (Melba) Richins, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Lindon LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call tonight (Thursday) at the Olpin Mortuary, Pleasant Grove and at the chapel Friday prior to services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. |
