Show Funeral Services Held Last Friday For Roland Smith Funeral services for Roland Smith, 72, lifelong resident of Lindon were held Friday, Feb. 2, at 1:00 p.m. in the Lindon Ward Chapel, under the direction direc-tion of Bishop Lowell Gillman of the Lindon Second Ward. Mr. Smith died January 30, 1968 at his home following a heart attack. Speakers who told of the long and purposeful life of the deceased, de-ceased, were Willis E. Larson and Kenneth H. Gillman. A life sketch was read by Mahlon Smith. William E. Peterson sang a baritone solo, "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked," accompanied accom-panied by S. Hal Haycock and Audra Hooley and Ellen Peterson Peter-son favored with a vocal duet, "Look Up T0 Him," accompanied accompan-ied by Cheri Peay. Prelude and postlude were played by La-Dean La-Dean Gillman. Family prayer was led by James W. Cook, invocation was asked by W. D. Chapman and the benediction was offered by Erwin Smith. Pallbearers were Floyd and Vern Swenson, Larry, Danny, Erwin, Donald and Ronald Smith and Carl Bahr. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Lindon Second Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where Leon C. Smith dedicated the grave. |
