Show Former Resident Dies in Japan Phyllis Fautin Harding Gais-ford, Gais-ford, 46, former resident of Pleasant Grove, died last Wednesday, Wed-nesday, June 19, at Techikawa Air Force Base Hospital, near Tokyo, Japan. She resided at Bountiful. Utah. Mrs. Gaisford died of natural natur-al causes, following a short illness. ill-ness. She had been in Japan less than a week, joining her husband who was in Japan on a special assignment from Hill Air Force Base. She was born April 1, 1922, in Elsinore, Sevier County a daughter of Venial E. and Pearl Nielsen Fautin. She married Dee Harding in 1939 .They were later divorced. She married James L. Gaisford, Gais-ford, June 25, 1948, at Elko, Nev. They made their home in Pleasant Grove for several years before moving to Bountiful. Boun-tiful. Mrs. Gaisford was educated in South Sevier Schools. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a mmeber of the South Davis YWMIA Stake Board. She was employed at the Eitel-McCullough Corp., Salt Lake City. She is survived by her husband, hus-band, Bountiful; one daughter, Mrs. David (Deanna) Foulger, two grandchildren, Logan; her parents, Pleasant Grove; brothers and sisters, Reese, Marys vale; Mrs. Randall (Dale) Herring, Pleasant Grove Mrs. Wiilard (LaVern) Fullmer, Full-mer, Salt Lake City; Russell, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Mack (Dona Vee) Olson, Bakersfield, Calif.; Mrs. Glade (LaRue) Walker, Pleasant Grove; and Mrs. Merlin (La Von) Shelley, American Fork. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the American Fork Cemetery. |
