Show Funeral Rites for Reed Carlson Held on Tuesday Funeral services in memory of Isaac Reed Carlson, 61, were held Tuesday, August 27, 1968 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manila Man-ila Ward Chapel, under the direction of Bishop David C. Harvey. Mr. Carlson died August 24, 1968 in American Fork Hospital Hospi-tal of a heart ailment. Speakers, who told of the useful and purposeful life of the deceased were Harvey E. Smith and Merrill N. Warnick. Bishop Harvey also gave appropriate ap-propriate remarks. Bob Monson, Susan Haycock and Ivan Monson sang a trio, "In the Garden" and Robert and Lydia Hilton favored with a duet. "Beyond the Sunset. Lucy Haycock accompanied the singers and also played the prelude and postlude. Family prayer was led by Elwood Carlson, Lamar Bushman Bush-man asked the invocation and President Boyd Fugal offered the benediction. Pallbearers were Grant, Elwood, El-wood, Lee and Kent Carlson, Chris Christiansen and Ray-Maynard. Ray-Maynard. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Manila Ward Relief Society. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Lon Christensen. Mr. Carlson was born May 9, 1907, Pleasant Grove, to Isaac E. and Marriett Clyde War-burton War-burton Carlson. Married Dorothy Dor-othy Maynard, August 11, 1931, Farmington.. Later solemnized in Salt LaKe LDS Temple. He was a farmer, and mill-worker. mill-worker. Member LDS Church. Survivors: widow, sons and daughters: John F., Ted M., Mrs. Lester (Kathleen) Draper all of Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Gail (Carolyn) Eskelson, Bountiful; Boun-tiful; Mrs. Rodger (Sandra) Barney, Orem; 15 grandchildren; grandchild-ren; brother, sisters, Keith E., Bountiful; Mrs. LaMar (Hazel) Bushman, Lehi; Mrs. Lon (Betty) (Bet-ty) Chistensen, Kaysville. |
