is proposed rop to amend amer id article 13 of the constitution of the state of utah so so that the samerill same will riad read as follows 1 the power of taxation shall never be bo surrendered suspended or contracted adaway away ali taxes shall be uniform upon U th 0 n the thes same arhe class ca ass of 0 f property within the territorial brial limits of the me authority I 1 levying ev 1 I th the tax and shall be levied and collected for for public purposes purpose only sonly 2 the legislature shall provide b by D law lad for an annual tax sufficient WA with other sources of re revenue vende to defray the esl estimated mated ordinary expenses of bf the state for each fiscal year forthe for the purpose of paying the state debt if any there bethe be the legislature shall provide f for levying a tax annually sufficient s 1 to pay the annual interest and principal of such debt within NJ thin twenty years frodi the final passage of the law creating the debt 3 there shall be exempt from taxation property of the united states of the state count counties iest cities towns school districts kunle municipal I 1 all corporations and public libraries ag lots t s with t the e bul buildings ings and used exclusively for ither either religious worship or charitable purposes and places of burial not held or used for private or corporate benefit ditches canals canala reservoirs not be separately taxed so iso long as they shall be owned and nd used exclusively for such purpose ise provided that mortgages ages upon real any and personal property shall be exempt from taxation and that the taxes of the indigent poor may be remitted or abated at such bugh time andin and in such mariner manner as may be provided bylaw by law 4 The Legislature shall not impose I 1 impose taxes
