Show S - ' THE PAYS ON AIN, TATEOH, UTAH Our Fondest Hope The Power of U. A. C. Man is in the City Advertising If we can only inner vision of put into the people the Ihoiight that, in our efforts, the Utah Public Health Association is working not so much for the stamping out of disease now prevalent, as for the prevention of disease in the next generation after that, we will have accomplished one of our great- est ideas. It is more than an idea, it is an ideal, and one toward which every thinking person in the state of Utah us and as his or her duty should help us. Now naturally the Utah Public Health Association takes a keen interest in disease which is among us today, and especially in the victims of tuberculosis. For the incipient case, the man or woman who has the disease and who knows the symp-tons- , we have sure advice,' which, if followed, will restore health. We have pamphlets, books and various kinds ot literature which we send free of charge to anyone. But for one who has tuberculosis in an advanced form we can only do a limited amount of service. We can provide medical inspection free of charge We can send a nurse to the home to tell the patient how to care for the disease so that it will not infect others and to instruct the family as to what to cook, how to treat the patient, etc. Should the sufferer however be so far advanced that sanatorium care becomes a necessity, we can- do no more than give advice, which usually, is useless, as a majority of such patients cannot afford to go to other states for judgment. Jet we have n6 provision for such cases in Utah, save for the county hospital of Salt Lake county which however is unable to begin to care for all those jjwho need sanatorium care. can-hel- p If women are as old as they look, why do they guard their oge so jealous- guess 1.
