Whereas, A question has ariseu as to who are eutitled to vote at the coming election to be Leld on April 2; 1900: and Whereas, It is important that some general understanding should ue arrived at which shall govern the voters of the entire state; aud, Whereas, The executive committees of the Republican and democratic parties of the State lave carefully considered the question and' find from an inspection of section 81G of the revised statues of Utah, lelating to registration of voters, the following pro vision; For all special and school elections, there shall be no special registration of voters, but the official register last made or revised shall constitute the official register for such special or school election.'' Now, therefore, the said political tarties, by their respective exect live committee, would suggest and advise all voters in the Stale that none bnt persons who are duly registered at the last general or municipal election shonld vote at Baid special election, and that no voter who has permanently removed from the precinct in which le was registered at the last general or municipal election should vote at said special election. show was free but tie "show" was of a different opinion, so he went iu front of the house aud gave the crowd outside a rak ing over in very strong lauguage. He fiually concluded to do away with the admission fee and invited them all iu free of charge. After all were inside the "Cld Man" proceeded to give vent to his inward wrath. Ue Baid the people here were a cheap lot that would always be many yeais belaud the times, and that a class of boys were being raised up here that were not fit to associate witn the pigs iu Kansas, aud that if any of these boys veutored beyond onr mountains on the east the comb would eat them np for greens. These are a few of the nice, things he had to say about ua. Then lie gave a few hot shots to the State in general aud said Salt Lake City was known the worlJ over as the dirtiest city in the universe; that there had not been a woman walk down Main street of the capital for several years past who was not insulted. 'He continued on iu this strain tor some time and then after giving a few puffs about Lis "great amount of wealth, he announced the show would .proceed. The injured men received what care they coaid there aud were theu taken to the hospital. The Lead man was shipped home. It appears that the rails remain- ing were stacked up on oue side of the ear, and as it was being backed around the enrve, the weight overbalancing it, caused the catastrophe. The foreman fell under the car and was killed instantly, his back being broken, while others weie fortunate to on fall top of the wreckenough age. Some was roasted just right and the "fire fighters" Baid it made fine sandwiches. It was v ly fortunate for property owners near this place that the fire was discovered as soon as it was or there might have been a different story to tell now. The meat was the property of J. S.
