Something Should Be Done. Now, when we are thrown into darkness on acconnt of the electric plant being unable to supply lights, we see that steps should be taken to guard againstthe lights being out each winter just when they are needed the wont, which has been the record almost every winter since the plant waa installed at the mouth of the canyon. The water freezes back until there ia not enough running to furnish the necessary power for the plant, and as a consequence, the people have to Adig up the old lamps, and hunt up coal oil in erder to have light Something, should be done to remedy this condition or the city will find that the people will get tiled and have the lights taken from their houses, which would close the plant end that would certainly be an immense step backward. Home have said that by piping the water from the Honeycomb springs, about seven or eight miles up the canyon, a sufficient stream could be had to insure power for the plant the year round. It has been otherwise suggested that an engine be placed in position at the plank which would also be a good thing; but if the former remedy, can be made a success, it seems to us it would be much cheaper and better.
