Cushing peacefully died at the home of her son, William Cashing, in this city. She beiug 75 years of age, her demise was naturally brought on by debility. The fall name of the lady was Helen Janet Cashing. She first saw the light of day in the town of Victor, Outerio county, New York, on the 18th of February, 1826, and was the daughter of William Murray and Helen Sarvis, At an early day, in Naavoo, she embraced the teachings of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints, and lived a faithful servant of those teachings ever since. In 1818 she came to Utah, surviving her husband in life about 40 yean. The funeral services of Airs, Cashing were held Monday afternoon iu the First ward meeting house, The speakers were Charles Tietjen of Santaqnin, Henry XL Gardner, and Hyrnm Lemmon, who spoke of the goodness of the departed.
