She hadnt even seen it advertised, but some of her family noticed the ad on a Wheaties box and told her about it and suggested that she enter. Ruby felt that contests were just advertising gimics and no one ever saw the prizes. Pres. Money stated the reward will be paid by the Utah Farm Bureau insurance company and this will be another service provided by the organization for its members. Her story was among the fifth place winners. The mail man soon delivered her prize, an expensive Big Bass Fishing Lure. Ruby says that it is pretty enough to frame.- Her faith in contesting has been renewed you can be sure. Even better than the fishing lure is the knowledge that Ruby as a writer made a definite accomplishment by being a winner in a national contest and that she proved worthy of the confidence her family had demonstrated in her. We offer congratulations to her and any other winners who read this.
