Pratt Llewellvn Bamev Mrs. Mafy Stark Pratt, 85, a native of Payson, died of natural causes Friday, May 5, Llewellyn (Lew) Barney, 68, died Tuesday, May 9, 1967 in the American Fork 1 OC'? u 1V.A me Inuuit; oir a . n , aaugn-t- er in Centerville. She was born April 15, 1882 in Payson, a daughter of John Daniel and Millie Webb Stark. On Aug. 8, 1900 she married Rey L. Pratt in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Mr. Pratt, a member of the LDS First Council of Seventy, was named president of the An i All 1 A AArt 7JU dliU held that position until his death in 1931. Survivors include three sons, Tracy W. Pratt, Houston, Tex,; Rey L. Pratt, Jr., Toppenish, Wash, and Samuel 0. Pratt, New York; five daughters, Mrs! Melba Gillette, Mrs. Herald (Beth) Miller, both of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Boyd (Mary) Parrish, Centerville; Mrs. Virgil (Emaline) Bluth, Mrs. Betty Andersen, both of Santa Monica, 33 Calif. grandchildren; 39 three sisters, Mrs. Ann McClelland, Long Beach, Calif. Mrs. Zina Smirthwaite, Baker, Ore.; and Mrs. Bill (Jennie) Larsen, Eugene, Ore. Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p.in. in the Davis LDS Stake House in Centerville. Interment was in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Children's Day Camp For the first time a day camp will be conducted in Payson, for children six to twelve. There will be qualified leaders and many varied activities for six weeks, June 19 to July 28. Those taking Summer School may have special rates so they can attend both programs. Questions will be answered at time of registration. An organizational meeting will be held at 11 a.m. at the Senior Citizens Center for all youth, ages 13 to 17, interested in being junior leaders and learning recreational and leadership skills this summer. He lived in various parts of the state but prior to his death had made his home in Pleasant Grove. He was a member of the LDS church and was an Elder. He married Jennie Huff. She died January 16, 1940. He married Sabra Schaugaard Young March 7, 1941 at Nephi. Survivors include his wife of Pleasant Grove and three sons and one daughter. Max Barney of Granger, Steven of Anaheim, California; LaVera o I Fullerton California; Mrs. Fred (Betty) Jackson of Bountiful, Utah. Two step-soand two stepdaughters. Milo Young of Hill Field; Wayne Young of Linwood, California; Mrs. Don (Faye) Jasperson of Payson and Mrs. Albert (Berniece) Warren of Pleasant Grove. Twenty-seve- n grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren and four brothers and four sisters survive: Ralph Barney, Menan, Idaho; Wells of Lewisville, Idaho; Ray of Springville and Gilbert, Mrs, Charles (Vernice) Ward and ns Mrs. Hy Christopherson, all of Spanish Fork; Mrs. Leon (Hazel) Mortensenof Lelandand Mrs. Joe (Lily) Little of Salt Lake City. Funeral arrangements are pending. Army Private Albert G. Bowen, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. Bowen, Route 1, Pay-so- n, Utah, completed eight weeks advanced infantry training April 28, at Ft. Ord, California. He received specialized instruction in small unit tactics and in firing such weapons as the M-machrifle, the M-ine gun and the 3.5-inrocket launcher. Bowens wife, Sandra, lives on Route 1, Payson, Utah. 60 ch Separated from the armed forces: Richard L. Pullman, Spanish Fork, Army; Russell B.Downey, Spanish Fork Army; Michael F. Moody, Spanish Fork, Army; Dixon B. Bills, Spanish Fork Air Force. Those who enlisted in the Funeral services were conducted Thursday, May 4, 1967 in the Santaquin Ward Chapel for Julius T. Stickney. Bishop1 Doyle Crook officiating. A family prayer at the Mortuary, prior to leaving for the Chapel, was offered by Orren Johnson. Prelude and postlude music was played by Karen Rowley and invocation was offered by Blaine The Santaquin 2nd Swenson. Ward Singing Mothers sang, Somewhere The Sun is Shinunder the direction of ing Galdys Robins and accompanied by Karen Rowley. Speaker was Bishop J. Merrill Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Hair sang, Oh My Father accompanied by Lewana Clark and after remarks by Bishop Crook, the benediction was pronounced by Junior Butler. Burial was in the Santaquin Cemetery under the direction of Walker Mortuary where the grave was dedicated by Bishop Wallace Gardner. Pallbearers were Bill Stickney, Ned Greenhalgh, Douglas Johnson, George Finch, Jay Stickney, and Paul Stickney. Payson, Utah - 846651 armed forces: son, Spanish Fork Navy; Lynn J. Sorensen David Over sixty immunization clinics will be established throughout the state of Utah in support of the Muzzle Measles campaign of the Utah State Medical Association and the Utah State Department of Health. Spanish Fork the clinic will be held at the senior high on May 13, 1967 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The measles immunization project is being conducted as a part of a nationwide campaign to wipe-ored measles. A single dose of the vaccine developed by Dr. Anton J. F. SchChemiwartz of Pitman-Moocal Co., can be given which will prevent a child from contracting measles.
