A good old Fashioned Apron and overal a hot party is planned with 7 6 p.m. to p.m. from supper hometown drama, fashion show, to talent and square dancing The party follow the supper. is for adults both men and women. Presidents of both wards, Mrs. Zaloma Goodall and Mrs. Nola Rae Olson, are heading the arrangements with officers, teachers and members assisting. It will be held in the Santaquin - Tintic Stake House. Visiting at the Walter home this week are Mrs. Sylvia Thompson and son, Kenneth Thompson of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Miss Anna Lee Smith of Henderson, Nevada. Also visiting at the Horrocks home over the week end was Mrs. Ralph Hale, Salt Lake, and Mrs. William B. Loy of Orem. The Firemens Auxilliary held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Fred Hore Monday night. President Norma Lee Peterson conducted. Kathle Tischner, fireman and city councilman talked of the prospects of a new fire station and other matters of importance. There were ten present and refreshments were served. Chief Santaquin DUP held their monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Dot York Camp afternoon. Mrs. Grace Kester and Mrs. Matilda Bascom assisted with hostess duties. Captain Vivian Roper Mrs. Evelyn Kay conducted; read a history of Sarah Slus-sNisonger, Mrs. Maude gave the lesson on Heber C. Kimball, pledge to the flags by Mrs. Arvilla Carter. A history of the U. S. Flag was given by Mrs. Grace Kester. A tray luncheon was served to 13 present. Thursday er Hol-lad- ay Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Peterson of Cedar City are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Peterson and other friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Green-halaccompanied Mrs. Blaine Wilson and two children and Mrs. Gaylen Peterson to San Diego, California where they visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Greenhalgh and family. They also visited relatives in Riverside, Calif. gh Mrs. Ted Ahlin entertained members of the Social 500 club Camp Summit DUP held their meeting in the Stake House Thursday afternoon with South Utah County President Mrs. Irean Peterson conducting. Acting as hostesses were Mrs. Melvina Jolley and Mrs. Beulah Bradley. Mrs. Beulah Bradley led the singing and Edna Steele was at the piano. They spent a week in Payson at the home of Mrs. Johnson and also visited Mr. and Mrs. Sterl Taylor and family while in the area. from their daughter, Lois, that she and her husband, H. L. Kirchschlager, and baby Christa, 7 months, have departed for Owerri, Nigeria. Mr. Kirchschlager is associated with the Department of State and will be the advisor to the Industrial Development Department, for the government of Nigeria. They left from Huston, Texas, where they have made their s home recently. Mrs. Edna C. Jones spent Thursday at the Mt. Bringhurst, chairman of the 1967 Jefferson-Jackso- n announces that Day, Minnesota Senator Eugene J. McCarthy will he guest speaker for the annual Democratic fundraising event scheduled for April 1st. Final arrangements were made in Washington D. C. for the appearance of Senator Me Carthy by Utah Senator Frank E. Moss. Senator McCarthy has served in Congress since election to the House of Representatives in 1948 from Minnesotas Fourth Congressional District. He served in this capacity for ten and then in 1958 was elec- years ted to the United States Senate. Senator McCarthy is a member of the Council on Religious Freedom and Public Affairs of t h e National Conference of Christians and Jews; the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Commission; and the Board of Federal Union, Inc. In November, 1964, he was elected to a second six year term in the United States Senate. He serves on the two most important committees in the Senate; Finance and foreign loans. Rhea is the wife of Brandt Jorgensen, a geologist, formerly of Salem, and with him spent some of the war years in Guam where she was a teacher in a native school. She writes that she had many fond memories of Nebo Stake Tavernacle, where she was graduated from Payson High School, recalling that she gave a reading at the exercises. She later attended Brigham Young University. An active member of the LDS church, she has served as Stake Relief Society president in the Whittier stake and in many other capacities.
