Show The Payson Chronicle, Payson, Utah THURSDAY, MARCH 9, 1967 rr ! Community Concert Assn, makes extensive changes Extensive changes in the operation of the Community Concert Association in Central Utah were announced March 1 following a meeting of the Board of Directors. The officers also announced the annual membership cam8. paign week for March The Association brings to Provo each year the worlds finest concert artists and orchestras. Prof. Clawson Y. Cannon Jr., president, said next year for the first time the Association will sell all reserved seats. Previously, concerts were held in the Fieldhouse, where there is unlimited seating for concerts. Next year, however, for improved quality, all concerts will be held in the DeJang Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center on Brigham Young University campus. A limit of 500 memberships has been allocated for Community Concert Association members and every membership will be accompanied by seat reservations for the season. This will limit BYU student seats to 1000, keeping town and school attendance at its present proportions. The new system will provide the Association with a specific amount of money each year for the engaging of artists. Artist FINDS A HOME, and a family, in Walt Disneys heartshown warming motion picture, Follow Me, Boys! Vera Miles, here with young Kurt Russell, stars with Fred MacMurray, Lillian Gish and Charlie Ruggles in the Technicolor production. BOY 'Follow Me, Boys! Is One of Disney's Best Motion Pictures Follow Me, Boys!" is one of Walt Disneys best pictures, and one of the finest to come out of Hollywood in many a year, since it is not only wonderful entertainment but a beautiful and uplifting story, based on MacKinlay Kantors popular novel, God and My Country, that should please the most discerning movie goer. It stars Fred MacMurray, Vera Miles, Lillian Gish and Charlie Ruggles and is a must for the family. The film begins its run this week at the Huish Show House. Disney has created an absorbing piece of Americana about a musician, played by Fred MacMurray, an average man who, in looking for roots, settles in a small town, finds himself a lovely girl, and, to please her, takes up the cause of needy youngsters who linger on the fringe of delinquency. DEER WITH RIBBONS Each winter the Utah State Department of Fish and Game personell undertake trapping and tagging programs in whicn game birds or animals, including pheasants, ducks, deer and elk can be trapped, tagged for identification, and again released at the trapping site for future observation. Such programs are under taken to aid in nujiagement of the particular animal inolved. Deer and elk trapping and tagging has recently been in Starvation Canyon, a tributory to Spanish Fork Canyon. Fourty elk, all cows and calves, were tagged at the elk trap in Starvation Canyon, above the Skyview Motel during late December and January. Thirty-fiv- e deer were caught in collapsable traps and tagged in Starvation as well. Each animal caught was tagged with a numbered identification tag and a bright, light green streamer in each ear. The streamer identify animals observed in future months with the winter range in Starvation Canyon. Taffed animals taken by hunters during appropiate hunting seasons can be pricisely identified. Fishermen, hunters, sightseers or anyone, who may on occasion, happen into summer areas of the Starvation winter herd, may see deer with bright green ribbons streaming from their ears. Such observations will become valuable management information if they are reported to the Utah State Department of Fish and Game. Anyone wishing to report such information should record the date area and color of the streamer. Different colored streamers are used at different tagging sites. For example, bright orange streamers are being used for deer in the Powder Plant area just east of Spanish Fork. Light green streamers are being used in Starvation, white streamers are used for deer above Mona and yellow in Lassen Draw. Migration patterns and much other valuable management information is obtained when anyone seeing or bagging a tagged animal reports it. A Provo meeting engagements by the Associaare pooled with those purchased by Brigham Young University into a single series for townspeople and BYU students. Adnrr.ssion is by Community Concert Association membership card or BYU student activity card. New price scale for memberships will vary according to the preference of seating in the Concert Hall. Adult memberships will be $8, $10, and $12; junior membership, $6.
