Show Cultus Club hears The Payson Chronicle, Payson, Utah Discussion on Beautification THURSDAY, MARCH Robert Hassell, Provo, a county agent, was guest speaker at a meeting of the Cultus Club held Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Reed Money. He was introduced by Mrs. Eugene Hillman, chairman. Mr. Hassells talk concerned cleaning up bad spots in Pay-so- n. He showed photographic slides that pictured some beautiful homes and gardens, then in contrast, showed some old barns, buildings, trees and fences that needed repair. He showed pictures of a few scenes in Payson along with others he has snapped in Utah County in Payson along with others he1 has snapped in Utah County. To receive guests, the oridal party stood before an elaborate setting of Grecian pillars draped with gold braid, arranged before screens of rattan filigree. Great red urns of white calla lilies stood at either side. Other decoration in the hall included a garden area with pool and statuary. The buffet table cloth was edged with a dainty row of pink nots and ivy, with a bouquet of calla lilies topping the silver punch bowl. Guest tables were centered with arrangements of white summer daisies in small urns. The wedding cake was displayed on a round table with pink cloth highlighted with indirect lighting. Acting as hosts in the serving area were Martha Bird, Mrs. Gean Worthington and Mrs. Bill Crump. Albert Payne played organ selections during the evening. Pre -- nuptial events included a trouseau given March 25 at the home of Mrs. Boyd Ivory in Spanish Fork, with M.irtha Bird, Springville; and Mrs. Gean Worthington, Payson, as assisting hosts. The bride was also honored at showers given by Connie Hall and Kaye Isaac at the home of the former, with girls freinds attending; and another shower given at the home of the bridegrooms parents with Mrs. John Bardin and Mrs. Kendall Ewell as hosts. The couple will reside in Provo, where both .are students at Brigham Young University. vows, couple honored at reception The marriage of Jane Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie H. For her wedding, the bride made her own empire style gown of white bonded crepe. It was fashioned with gorded skirt that fanned in soft folds to the floor. Her veil billowed from a bandeau of stephanotis and seed she carried abrides of white orchids with pearls and bouquet pearl streamers. They honeymooned in Mexico City and Southern Mexico, and will reside in Salt Lake City and California for a year to their prior departure for Japan with the international division of Hallmark Crads, Inc.
