Funeral services will beheld Friday in the Payson Park-SecoWard. Friends may call at Rigby Mortuary, Payson, on Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Payson City Cemetery. nd ARMOND HANCOCK Nelson Armond Hancock, 84, died Tuesday morning, March 29, at Payson City Hospital after an illness. He was born Sept. 22, 181, in Payson, a son of Solomon and Charlotte Diantha Empey Hancock. He married Emma Jane Openshaw Nov. 16, 1903. She died July 28, 1922. He married Lillian Rebecca Elmer Llewellyn Dec. 18, 1936. Mr. Hancock was retired at the time of his death but had formerly worked as a miner, farmer and on construction. He spent some of his early years in Old Mexico, but had lived most of his life in Payson. He was an active member of the LDS Church and a former member of the Payson Second Ward High Priest Quorum. He enjoyed hunting and fistiing. Surviving are his widow of Payson, and the following sons and daughter, Mrs. M. J. (Arma) Taylor, Provo; G. 0, Hancock, Kansas City, Kansas; Mrs. Gerald (Beulah) Lunce-for- d, Orem; Mrs. Arthur (May) Elmer, Harry J. Hancock, both of Payson; also the following stepsons and daughters: Frank Llewellyn, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Thelma DeGraw, Maple ton; Mrs. Vera Longe, Orem; Mrs. May Box and Mrs. Clara Henline, both of Payson; 14 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren; also five half brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary Kaelber, Payson; Mrs. Lillian Harper, Leland Daley, Marcus Daley, all of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Amy Roack, River weeks visit at Colorado Springs, Colo., with Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jensen and family. Mrs. Jensen and Russell, Lori and Scott returned to Payson where they will spend ten days. Friday evening the second year Bee Hive class enjoyed a swimming party at Arrowhead Resort followed by a pizza dinner at the home of their leader, Mrs. Muriel Meredith. Those present were Mrs. NED SMITH Ned Smith, 52, of Santaquin, died March 23 at 6 a.m. at the family home following a lingering illness. He was born Feb. 3, 1914, at Panquitch, a son of Albert and Becky Norton Smith. He married Florence Painter, Nov. 21, 1935, in Nephi. For the past 23 years he was employed at Geneva Works as a millwright. Previously, he had worked at the Tooele Ordinance Depot and during World War 0 at the Remington Small Arms plant in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the LDS Church and had worked with the MLA. Survivors include his wife of two sons and two Santaquin; daughters, Albert E. Smith and Nina Smith, both of Santaquin, Douglas N. Smith of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Don (Karen) Jacobson of Spring Lake; nine Mr. and Mrs. Z. relatives are invited. The event will celebrate the 60th anniversary of their marriage which was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple April 4, 1906. Both are natives of the area and have lived in Genola since their marriage. grandchildren; three brothers. A son, Frank Max Smith, 32, died last week in Santa Ana, Calif., of complications following surgery. Joint funeral services were held Saturday in t he Santaquin Stake Center. Bishop Lawerence W. Clayson of the Santaquin First Ward officiated. Burial was in the Santaquin Cemetery under the direction of Keith Jolley Mortuary. I. BRANDON Ingwald Ingebretsen Brandon, 75, died Sunday, March 27, at 8 p.m. at the family home, 760 East First South, of a heart ailment. Mr. Brandon was born March 4, 1891, In Oslo, Norway, a son of Olaus and Nikoline Evensen Brandon. He married Emma Andreason Sept. 2, 1918, at Provo. He left Norway in 1911 and lived in Canada where he worked as a carpenter and brick mason for two years, after which he came to the United States and worked in Oregon, Montana Washington, and Idaho, before coming to Utah. He had lived in Payson for many years, and was employed in Tintic and Eureka Standard Mines for some 40 years as a shift boss. He was an active sportsman.
