Brother Tischner was released so that he could accept an appointment to act as chairman of the committee for the Construction and Use of Camp KoHoLoWo (Girls MIA Summer Camp, located! in the top of Santaquin Canyon.) Harold Harmer, of the Nebo Stake Presidency formerly acted as chairman. The annual March 17 th Relief Society birthday anniversary is to be observed in the Ward Relief Society organizations this week. First and Second ward will combine in the lovely planned Birthday Party on Saturday evening, March 21, commencing at 6:30 p.m. with dinner. Gingham and Overall attire will surely add to the fun of the evening which is of a Western Theme. Everone over 16 years of age( men and women) are urged to come out and enjoy this fine event. Special decorations are in the planning stage and they tell ns that there is tol be a surprise fun program following the dinner. Officers of both wards headed by Presidents Marie Peterson and Lorraine Jones, and assisted by ward food committees will combine to make this evening, one that is unforgettable. Special program chairmen are Dorothy Jasper-soJeannine Van Ausdal, Byrl Thomas, and Wanda Greenhalgh. Dont forget it is Western style evening. Calling all Elders of the First Quorum and their partners! Yes, it is soon time for your special party. In fact it is to be held Friday evening, March 27, at the Stake Cultural Hall, at 7:30 p.m. This is a reminder you will be entertained by a very special program, social and refreshments, according to the First Quorum of Elders President, Kent Hall. This is a reminder, also to all sisters of the stake who like to sing and who would like to join our Stake Relief Society Chorus which now practice each Thursday morning at the Stake Center at 10 a.m. They will sing in the Relief Society Conference to e held in connection with our 6take Quarterly Conference on April 11 and 12. Speaking of Relief Society-Re- lief Society Ward conference sessions will be a thing of beauty this year for special dramatizations will be pre n, TURKEY EGGS TO leaders are working closely with Ward leaders in order that the spiritual and lovely dramas might be presented according to plans of the Relief Society general presidency and board. Bishop Doyle Crook received the honor of being named Bishop of The Month at the Stake Priesthood Leadership Meeting last Sunday. The honor comes to the Bishop who during the previous month has scored the most points in working with Priesthood groups, such as good attendance and activity within the groups. Last month Bishop Crook tied for first place with Genolas Bishop Walter Kirby. Bishop Crook is ever the Second Ward. Relief Society Monthly Leadership Meeting was held March 19 at the Cultural Hall commencing at 10 a.m. Ward leaders and teachers met with Stake leaders for instruction and helps for the coming month, under the direction of Stake President Jennie W. On Sunday evening March 22 the Stake Presidency will visit Elberta Branch and Eureka Wards in connection with the Ward Genealogical conference sessions. Army Corps of Engineers to test a new system of collecting more accurate data for pinpointing locations on earth. Rectangular in shape, measuring only 9 x 11 x 14 inches, and weighing about 40 pounds, the satellite contains a part of a system called SECOR (Sequential Collation of Range) which has been under development by the Army Corps of Engineers through the Geodesy, Intelligence and Mapping Research and Development Agency (GI.MRADA) located at Fort Belvoir, Va. The Stake MIA Maids annual spirituality evening is scheduled to be held Tuesday evening, March 31, according to Stake MIA leader, Sister lone Hall. Thg thrill of a lifetime will be incorporated into their evening when they hear words of wisdom and spirituality from Sister Mary Peterson, Matron of the Manti Temple, who will give the inspirational address to the group of girls and their mothers, who are special invited guests. Included in the special program will be musicai numbers, and the Symbolism of the Rose will be given by the girls. The event is scheduled to be held at Gen-ol- a Ward at 7:30 p.m Sister lone Hall will conduct the program and invites all MIA Maids and their mothers to be sure to be in attendance. All youth of MIA age, from 12 years up are encouraged to be at chorus practice each Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Goshen Ward. The numbers now being learned are to be used in the Ward Musical Festival and these in turn will be spotlighted in our Church General Conference sessions MIA wherein the Chorus will be featured.
