Called The Fury Fencer, PAYSON, UTAH, WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 28, 1960 the new unit will be put through its paces at Payson and Provo on Friday, Sept. 30, then move on to Lehi for an early afternoon demonstration Saturday. Farmers and ranchers from all parts of the valley are invited to see the fence builder in action. The Fury Fencer was developed by U. S. Steel to take the time and heavy work out of one of the toughest jobs still left on todays farms and ranches. Friends and relatives are invited to call during that time. Mrs. Twede, who has been a resident of the West Moune tain areas of Payson for years, will celebrate her 80th birthday on Saturday. She was born October 1, 1380, in Springville, to Charles E. and Elizabeth Watkins Allan. Later the family moved "to Mapleton, and it was there that she met, and married F. G. Twede on June 14, 1899 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Twede and their daughter moved to West Mountain in 1907 where they were pioneers in that area. Mr. Twede died in 1931 and Mrs. Twede has lived in her home on the farm since that time. Ewell will be honored at a missionary farewell program Friday evening in the Genola Ward church. The program for the missionary will begin at 8 p. m. Elder Ewell, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ewell, has accepted a call to serve in the Central Atlantic States Mission. He will enter the mission home in Salt Lake for a weeks training before leaving for his field of labor. He will enter the mission home October 10. Kendell T. Ewell farewell Friday night Elder Brown is a former Canadian Army officer, practicing attorney, and university professor. He was a Canadian oil company executive until 1953, when he left business life to devote full time to his church assignments. He had served as president of two stakes, and been a mission president twice. Saturday evening meetings will be for lay church leaders, devoted to the Churchs local and world-wid- e missionary program and the Church Welfare Plan. |
