Show Barbara Jean Walton, Douglas Davis Repeat Marriage Vows CHRONICLE Mr. and Mrs. Eliot Simons Feted in Spanish Fork, Married in S. L. Temple The shimmer of bridal satin and the glow of candle light made a lovely picture Friday evening, May 9th in the Fourth ward chapel as the new Mr. and Mrs. Elliot (Bud) Simons received a. host of friends and relatives. The bride was the former Jean Holt, daughter of Mr. and vfrs. Glen Holt. Mrs. Wavnc Jimons of Payson is the mother I the groom. The couple was married Wednesday, May 7th in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with J. A. Burton Acperforming the ceremony. companying them to the temple were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Holt, Mrs. Wayne Simons, Mrs. Leona Sorenson, Mrs. Rheuama West, and Mrs. Claude Simons. Afterwards the group enjoyed dinner at the Temple Square Hotel. The bride was charming in her traditional white satin gown fashioned with a full skirt, and fitted bodice coming to a point at the waist. Long sleeves pointed over the hands. Her veil of illusion nylon with lace edge was caught to a - tiara of seed renHs. She held a bouquet of baby orchids and stephonitis. 'Mrs. Leona Warner was matron of honor with Mrs. 'Carylee Barnett, Dellavgne Jex and Donna Simons as bridesmaids. They wore dresses ihade alike in various pastel colors and held nose-agy- s of baby orchids and carnations with colored ribbons. Jay Harmer of Payson performed the best man duties. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Youd and Mr. and Mrs. Blair Davis greeted the guests at the door. Miss Sharon Williams presided over the guest book. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor were in charge of the refreshments with Mrs. Loa Nielsen, Mrs. Tressa Sorenson, Mr. John Hansen and Mrs. Margaret Gammell Those serving were assisting. Janet Roach, Elaine West, Jolene Hansen, LuDean Sorenson, Mary Jarvis and Darlene Johnson. Norma Nelson and Mrs. Lorraine Mackley presided in the trousseau room and Mrs. Ireta Banks and Mrs. Georgia Hansen arranged the display of ovely gifts. Blaine Hansen acted as master of ceremonies for the following program: prayer, Bishop Frank Sorenson; musical reading, Fern Comaby, accompanied by Dellavene Jex; reading, Mr-ri- e Huff; advice to the bride, Mrs. Rheuama West; advice to the groom.J. R. (Tobe) McClellan; a medely of songs by Dellavene Jex; vocal solo by Duane Taylor accompanied by Karen Hiatt Bishop Roland Lindsay gave the closing prayer. Nuptials were performed May 21, with the couple leaving May 29th for Austin Texas, where Mr. Davis, airman third class, is stationed with the air force. Bishop Glen Cowan presided at the wedding service which was performed at the home of the brides parents, where relatives and friends caught the first glimpse of the bride as she appeared in the open stairway of the living room. Attending the bride as maid of honor was the bridegrooms sister, Reah Mae Davis, and bridesmaids were Jeneal McClellan, Barbara Bates and Jane Pulver. Davis, brother of the groom, recently returned from Korea, was best man, with Ted Alvey, Blair Thurgood of Roy, Utah, and Dale Davis, also a brother of the groom, assisting as ushers. A wedding cake was displayed in the serving room, where guests were seated at small tables centered with bowls of floating iris blooms in rainbow colors, combined with trailing myrtle. The program was in charge of Miss Carol Osborn, who served as master of ceremonies, announcing the following: vocal solos by Richard Drollinger, Erna Mayer and Patricia Walton; a vocal duet by the Lazenby twins; piano selections, Dellavene Jex of Spanish Fork; toast to the bride, Barbara Bates; toast to the groom, Ted Alvey. The brides book was in charge of Dorthella Bryson- - Benson. Refreshments were in charge of Mrs. Ernest McClellan, Mrs. Kenneth Witt, Mrs. Leo Cahoon and Mrs. Lea Carroll, with table appointments by Mrs. Paul Bigler.
