Show DUP Camps Hold Monthly Meetings Daughters of Utah Pioneers organized a new camp in Pay-sowhen Camp Peteetneet was divided at a meeting held Thursday at the home of Minnie W. Douglass, with Capt. Hazel Gasser presiding and Hilda Bingham of Spanish ork, a Utah county board member, in charge of division of the camp and election of officers in both camps. The new organization will be called Camp Nebo, located on the southeast portion of town. Hazel Gasser, current captain of the divided camp, was named to head the organization. Della Francom was elected captain of Camp Peteetneet. Election of officers was also held in other Payson camps, with Elva Taylor elected head of Camp Sego Lily and Clara Orton elected captain of Camp Seagull. Ella to serve Anderson was as captain of Camp One. Before business of division, Peteetneet Camp carried out the following program, singing, conducted by Lucile Drollinger, with Mary Wyler at the piano; lesson, Laura Coombs; history of her parents, Mrs. Douglass; song, Vera 'Francom and Laura Elmer; readings, Diane Hiatt Officers elected for the new Camp Nebo include, in addition to Mrs. Gasser as captain: Dor-ett- a Box, first vice captain; Oleah White, second vice captain; Della Stewart, secretary; Alta H. registrar; class leader, Leona Thomas; historian, Laura Coombs. n, De-gra- CAMP PETEETNEET elected for Camp Peteetneet, named to assist Mrs. Francom as captain, will be: Vera Francom, first vice captain; Ella Cowan, second vice captain; secretary, Klea McClellan; chorister, Laura Elmer; organist, Mamie Minnie classleader, Douglass; clipper, Edda Noon; registrar, Vina Mendenhall. Hostesses, who served refreshments to the 32 members attending, were Mrs. Douglass, Della Francom, May Hamilton, Rhoda Davis, Oleah White and May Beddoes. CAMP SEAGULL Camp Seogull was entertained Hospital Convention Mr?. L. A. Butler, superintend-"n- t of nurses at Payson City l, is attending a hospital convention in San Francisco this week. She was accompanied by the superintendent of nurses from the American Fork hospital. They made the trip in company with Mr. and Mrs. Sturk Aanard of Spanish Fbrk and Mrs. Cora Carruth, Payson. Mrs. Starlie Carruth of Evanston, Wyo., is at the Butler home during Mrs. Butlers absence. With her are her two little sons, Tommy and Michael, who are enjoying a visit with their cousins, Bennie and Jackie Butler, and their uncle, L. A. Butler. at the home of Della King, with Capt. Madoline Dixon presiding. Singing was conducted by Alta Cowan, with Nellie Bannister at the piano. The lesson was given by Marie Stevenson and accordion selections were played by Sarah Tanner. New officers elected in addition to Clara Orton as captain are Dora Honcock, first vice captain; Naomi Tew, second vice captain; Lucile Taylor, secretary; Margaret Webb, chaplain; Grace Goble, registrar; Leila Beck, historian; Elzada Hurst, custodian of relics. Holdover officers are Marie Stevenson, class leader; Nellie Bannister, organist; Alta Cowan, chorister. SEGO LILY CAMP Sego Lily Camp met at the home of Annie Curtis, with Capt. Sarah Clayson in charge. Singing was under the direction of Lela Parker, with Ethel Page at the piano. Program included a vccal solo by Mary Lou Braith-waitaccompanied by Nan Gardner; and a reading by Evelyn C. Larson. A history of her aunt, Johanna Robinson, was read by Mrs. Curtis and the lesson was given by Nellie Hall. Springtime is Theme of Closing Social of Beta Cultus Club Holds Gold Star Parents Closing Social Junior Cultus Club Beta Cultus club members attended a nicely arranged closing social Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Louis Jacobs. Miss Marjorie Parry was presented a gift as a token of appreciation of her membership in the unit during her stay in Payson, while serving as an exschool teacher from change Miss Wales. Parry plans to leave for her homeland at the close of the school year. Games were played during the evening, with Mrs. Brig Crane awarded the prize for high score. Mrs. Leslie Reece, club president, and the social committee, including Mrs. Jacobs, Mrs. Elmer Taylor and Mrs. Jennie Taylor, were in charge of arrangements.
