Show Do You In Progression? Vote Democratic Because I desire my campaign to be based on facts instead of questionable rumors, the following objectives will be my goal if elected to the office of Mayor of Payson City. Mr. Forsey came to Payson when a boy of six years of age. He later moved to the Tintic district and then as a young man moved to Payson with his family where he has resided ever since. He has lived in Payson over 20 years, owns his own home and has become a large taxpayer. 1. Waterworks I will strive to make the growth of Payson City a possibility by securing additional culinary water and insuring its distribution to all parts of the city. The present water system is inadequate and is retarding further expansion. His accomplishments bespeak his ability. 2. Lights and Power In he served as Mayor of Payson and gave much of his time to accomplish a successful administration At the completion of his term of office, he left the city in a good financial condition. He promises to give all the time needed to serve the city as Mayor, if elected. A thorough investigation of the present electric distribution system will be made. Repairs and improvements started immediately with the goal of a new electric system as soon as feasible. 1942-194- 3. Irrigation With tlm.cooperation of the citizens of Payson City, I feel that a plan can be worked out it possible to complete the cementing of making the irrigation ditches, giving a fuller utilization of our present irrigation water supply. He served in World War I. Has served two terms as and one as commander of District No. 4 of the American Legion. His church activities have been many and varied. He served for many years as president of the Young Mens Mutual, as ward clerk and as a member of the bishopric. 4. Civic Building and Memorial Hall His business experience qualifies him as a man capable of doing an outstanding job as Mayor. He is a man that is for all the people all the rime. The need has long been felt for a civic building and memorial hall in this city. Plans should be started immediately to make this a reality when financially possible. A levy of one mill has been collected in the past administrations for memorial buildings, and it is my desire to use these funds to lay the ground work for this building. No bond issue is contemfor this plated purpose. D. C. FORSEY 5. Roads Candidate for Mayor I favor a continuation of the improvement of roads and maintainance of the present road system. T. H.
