Scout Section $$$'$'v4f"j $$ e charter and the other cards with him. As was stated in last weeks local paper scoutmaster A. H. Baird recieved a pennant for having the number of active meimbeH in the troop within the Timpanogas council, this is quite an honor, and should be incentive for the scoutmasters to get their troops to working harder. Mr. Baird is a good scoutmaster and he would be glad to give any other scoutmaster some good points on scouting. Back of him he has a troop comittee la-ge- st that is whiling to help him at all times to put the projects over as they come up, and now but not least are the scouts themselves. I dare say there is not a scout in the troop but what would say that they get action from either one of the committeemen or the scoutmaster. To get the good of scouting we must have team work, and to get good team work, the work must be so divided that all will have equal amount of work to do, and yet divided that the committeeman has has the work to do that he is best qualified for. We are doing our best and we will always try to do our best, to help the scouts at all times. This is our happy ending at this' time. Philip I). Simon, 11 year old Eagle scout of Niles, Michigan rescued two children from drowning. It was necessary for him to resort to artificial respiration in order to save the life of one of them. He then went hack and brought the body of the father of one of the children to shore, but he had been in te water too long and was beyond aid. Its wonderful to think that boys of this age are able not only to take care of themselves but also save the lives of other people. The scout e lass of Life Saving at Arrowhead is coming along very nicely. The hoys are learning how to carry another person in the water and be able to keep themselves and subject afloat.
