LeGrande Nielsen are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Lynette, to John David DeGraffenried, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward DeGraffenried. They will be married Friday, March 4, 1983, in the Salt Lake Temple. A reception will honor the couple at the JordanEll Reception Center, 2245 West 8200 South, West Jordan, Utah, that evening from 7 until 9 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. & Phillip Marrctt Bonnie Bean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Bean of Elk Ridge, will marry Phillip J. Marrott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Marrott of Spanish Fork, on Friday, March 11, 1983, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A wedding luncheon will be held at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake. A reception will honor the couple that evening from 7:00 until 9:30 p.m. at the Thomas Bean home, 588 East Park Drive, Elk Ridge, Utah. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Attending the bride as Maid of Honor will be her sister, Barbara Bean, with Lisa Behling, Salley Marrott Brown, Allison Throckmorton and Leslie Shute as bridesmaids. Brenda Bean and Jamie Brown will be flower girls. Kim Thomas and Guy Crockett, friends of the bridegroom, will be the best men. Richard Marrott, brother of the groom, and David Bean and Robert Bean, brothers of the bride, will be groomsmen. Special guests will be grandmothers of the bride, Mrs. Helen Denison of Orem, Mrs. Barbara Bean of Oregon City, Oregon, and Mrs. Ruth Jolley of Orem. The bride-elec- t is a graduateof Payson High School and LDS Seminary. She was of the Payson High School Concert Choir and sang with the Trou veres. Showers for the bride were given by Leslie and Lorna Shute of Elk Ridge, and the employees of DHI in Orem. The future bridegroom graduated from Spanish Fork High School and LDS Seminary, and attended Utah Technical College. He served an LDS mission in Orange County, Anaheim, California. They are both currently working at DHI in Provo, and plan to reside in Provo after a honeymoon in Hawaii. vice-preside- nt Salt Lake Temple vows ' - planned for Linda Turner and Ken E. Rich Linda G. Turner, daughter of Verlene S. Turner of Payson, Utah, and Joseph Duane Turner of Bountiful, Utah, will marry Ken E. Rich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vearl R. Rich of Star, Idaho, on Thursday, March 10, 1983, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A reception will honor the newlyweds that evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Sixteenth Ward Cultural Hall, 779 South 700 West, Payson. An open house will be held' Friday, March 18th, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the' Verl Rich home in Star, Idaho. The event is open to all friends and relatives. Bridal attendants will be Lee Turner, Elva and Rae Ann Shepherd. Honorary matron of honor will be Jerry T. Murphy, sister of the bride. Tiffany Montague and Amanda Murphy will act as flower girls. Best man will be George Quenzer. Special guest will be the bride's grandmother,' Elva Stevens, of Genola, Utah. The bride-elec- t is a graduate of Payson High School and LDS Seminary. She attended Weber State College in Ogden, Utah. Her fiance attended Middleton High School and LDS Seminary. He served an LDS mission to the San Diego California Mission and is now employed in Boise. The couple will live in Idaho. Edna Naef Nichols to celebrate 90th birthday Mrs. Edna Naef Nichols, 351 West 100 South, Payson, Utah, will celebrate her 90th birthday on March 4, 1983. An open house, to which all friends are invited, will be held in her honor on Sunday, March 6, 1983, at Zions Bank, 100 East 100 North, between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. Mrs. Nichols was born in Teton, Idaho, the second of seven children born to Robert H. Naef and Rosalia A. Haderlie. She married Malcom C. Nichols on October 22, 1914, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The couple made their home in Thornton and Rexburg, Idaho, where they raised four children: Maxine Nichols Hawker, deceased; Mrs. Walter G. (Faye) Lenart, Riviera, Arizona; Malcom C. Nichols, Jr., Salem, Oregon; and Jay L. Nichols, Rigby, Idaho. In 1965, when Mr. Nichols retired from Madison Memorial Hospital, they moved to Payson, Utah, to be near their daughter, Maxine, and her family. Just prior to Mr. Nichols' death, in 1969, the couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. During her lifetime Mrs. Nichols has been lauded as an outstanding cook, homemaker, gardener, and penman. She has written thousands of letters to friends and relatives, which has been a source of constant encouragement and help. Mrs. Nichols is a member of the Payson LDS Second Ward. Before moving to Payson, she served as a Primary Stake Board Member, Counselor in the ward Relief Society Presidency and the YWMIA Presidency. In civic affairs, Mrs. Nichols has served many years as an officer in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, a volunteer worker for the handicapped at several state hospitals in Idaho and on the Rexburg Election Board. Prior to her marriage she worked as a telephone operator in Sugar City, Idaho. A family dinner will be held on March 5, 1983, for all of Mrs. Nichols' descendants. Honoring her in addition to her 3 living children, 19 grandchildren and 21 will be the following brothers and sisters: Myron K. Naef, Yuba City, California; Russel Naef, Riverside, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Leona Merrell, Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Mrs. Gladys G. Porterfield, Mojave, great-grandchildr- California. Council was very proud of all the Reflection winners from all the schools. It was a difficult job to judge and select the 15 winners to go on to region. The theme was "Life in these, the United States."
