Grade AA Eggr The Lord is not pleased when we hide our talents because of our fear of men and their views. Talent is a natural capacity, a gift from God and we are required by Him to magnify and use it for our own good and for others. Many talents within our abilities goes undeveloped, we can find and increase talents even to a hundred fold, we are Spirit Children of God and all is possible if we desire it enough to really try. Talents can be thought of as a Spark of Divinity within us. It is as we desire it to be. Talent is very hard work materializing into something close to divine. It takes faith and persistence to magnify a talent. Fear is the greatest deterent to finding the spark of beauiful talent, which can bless and lift souls. To study is to walk on the first rung of the talent ladder. It is said that "That which we persist in doing will become easier, will grow and multiply Our Latter-Da- y Saints Church gives us opportunity to develop our talents and it is our responsibility to develop them. All opportunity to serve is not sacrifice but development and the beautiful opportunity to give and share, thus all grows. If we will work with enthusiasm and prayer striving to prepare all assignments well and to give of our knowledge and learning we can be sure that our talents will increase. It is so true that we watch others in action and feel amazed at the dexterity of the dancer, the pianist, the singer, the artist, the speaker, in fact the beauty of all talent, and we do say, 'Id give a lot to be that talented. Perhaps we should consider giving a lot, a big lot of our time to develop a latent talent which could bless the world. Inspirational true experiences of conversion, baptism and great devotion and joy in serving the Lord and his people in England was the testimony of each. And that is not the end of the special reunion for, Brother LeRoy Harsley and his wife now living in Salt Lake City, joined the group to hear their testimonies on Sunday and to relieve their experiences also when Brother Harsley and his wife were the instruments in 1963 which brought Brother Abbott into the waters of baptism. Brother Harsley was then serving as (yes you guessed it) Exeter Branch President. They converted Brother Abbott. Returning to Salt Lake 7 years ago they now labor as Temple workers in the Salt Lake Temple. Brother Abbott has served in the District Council since the organization of the Plymouth District and the Tamar District. He proudly quoted from Psalms, 119:30 I have chosen the way of truth. Early Monday morning the along with England visitors Brother and Sister Clayson left for a 10 day trip visiting Mesa Verde, Colorado then on to California where they will be the guests at the home of President William IL Harless of the Los Angeles Temple Presidency. And by the way - Brother Haress also served as Exeter Branch President being released just as Brother Clayson was sustained in that position. The Claysons will visit with relatives in California while the England leaders visit with President Harless. The group will then attend sessions in the Los Angeles, Saint George and Manti Temples before flying back to England October 7.
