Parents of the lovely little girl are their daughter Kathleen and Mike Hickman of Salt Lake, The little miss, born Thursday Jan. 22, at the South Davis Hospital, weighed in at 7 pounds 4 ounces. She has two sisters, Michelle and Katrina who greeted her when she arrived home with her mother. She will be named Karleen. Happy paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Rex Hickman of Benjamin. Mrs. Lafferty has visited with her daughter helping out in the home and with the grandchildren as well as getting acquainted with her new granddaughter. son-in-la- w, Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Zeeman were in Salt Lake on Wednesday onbusiness. They called at the hospital to see Mrs, Zeemans mother who is a patient there. They also visited with her father, Pieter Vandertoolen for a while. Mrs. Vola Butler joined with three of her sisters at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Daniels at Payson on Sunday. The occasion was a sister birthday party which they have each time one of them has a birthday. As both Mr. and Mrs. Daniels birthday occurs in January, the sisters with their husbands met to help the Daniels celebrate their birthdays. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. George Barnett, their daughter, Mrs. Afton Hall and son Dan Hall from Murray and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Park from Nephi. They all enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner and visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Elvon Butler and her sister, Mrs. Arlena Lofgran fromSpring-vill- e, motored to Las Vegas, Nevada where they visited with two other sisters, Veda, Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Durfey and Hilda, Mr. and Mrs. Art Kinder. While in Las Vegas they were houseguests of Mr. and Mrs. Kinder. Friday night the three couple and Mrs. Lofgran enjoyed dinner at a cafe there. They spent three days on the trip. Friday night Mr. and Mrs. George attended a wedding reception given in honor of his nieces daughter, Karla Smith and Patrick Glen Gabbert, given by her parents. It was held at the 4th-7Ward Cultural Hall at Spanish Fork. Others attending from Spring Lake were Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Knapp. The bride is a sister of their daughter-in-laMrs. Dennis Knapp. re Mrs. Vola Butler accompanied her sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. George Barnett and their daughter, Afton and son, Dan, to their home at Murray Sunday night where she visited until Thursday when they brought her home. Carrie Meredith, Jill Williamson, Lori Finch, DeNean Hall, Marilyn Erekson, Glori Bori, Jolene Bushman, Diane Berry, and Margo Wayman, spent the afternoon with her. They tape recorded all their voices and they had the fun of hearing each other. Games were played and refreshments served. Russel, Lori and Scott Jensen of Provo spent nine days with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hansen. Their mother, Mrs. Janice Jensen went by plane to Hawaii where she met her husband CW2 Dale L. Jensen and they enjoyed a vacation together. CW2 Jensen is stationed at Viet Nam with the United States Mrs. Jensen reports a very Army. Bishop Sterling Spencer and his wife Maxine Spencer returned Wed., Feb. 3 from an eleven day trip to California. They left home Jan. 24 for San Francisco where they attended the Western Merchandise Mart. Their next stop was at Cola-ling- a, California where they visited Mrs. Spencers sister, Mrs. Vida Cooper. At Long Beach they spent sometime with Mr. Mark Brian who is a patient at the Veterns Hospital at Long Beach. They then went to El Cajon where very enjoyable days were had with their daughter Claudine Benson and her husband Leon and their children. They attended church with the Bensons and met their many friends. Bishop Spencer attended the Andy Williams Golf Tournament at Torri Pine for two days. At Las Vegas, Nevada they made an overnight visit with another interesting vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bank and three children, Russel, Penny and Paula of Salt Lake visited Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvie Henline. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Tanner of Carma, Idaho former West Mountain residents, were dinner guests at the home of Mr. The Tanners and Mrs. Albert Kenison. also attended Sunday School at the West Ward They have been visiting for a few days with their son and family Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Tanner of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Elmon Hendrickson and daughters LuAnn Hendrickson of Spring-vill- e and Patsy Hendrickson of Provo attended a wedding reception Monday, Feb. 2 at the Skyroom in the Wilkinson Center BYU Campus honoring their nephew Gary Swapp and his bride Lynnette Larson Swapp. They are both students at the BYU. Thursday Mrs. Ethel Hirst visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Boel of Provo to extend greetings to her 37th born Friday, Jan. 30 at the Utah Valley Hospital. Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Lance went to Tooele where they visited 5 Winston Christiansen left recently for Fort Cambell, Kentucky with the Spanish Fork National Guard. They will be there for four months. The tiny new son of Mr. and Mrs. Merton was blessed and given the name of Steven Merton Moon at Fast Day Service Sunday. Baptisms preformed Saturday evening were Sherry Dee Horton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Ewell; Blaine Seemons, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Seemons; and Jill Williamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Williamson. Moon Mr. LeBaron Robbins was among the honored guests at a banquet held Jan. 30 at the Riverside Country Club in Provo. Mr. Robbins received a 25 year Service Pin from the United States Steel Corporation for his continues service. Mr. Delos Tanner is a patient at the Payson Hospital having undergone surgery on Friday. They spent the day helping their mother quilt a quilt for their brother and wife who reside in Calif, which they completed. Mr. and Mrs. Butler met the children, Steve, twins, Linda and Lisa and Robbie at the Salt Lake Airport early Saturday morning. After watching their parents depart on the plane the children came home with their grandparents. While in Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold visited with her sister, Ermadene and husband, Jess Angus and family at their home in Free-mon- t, Calif. Mrs. Barbara Jensen from Goshen visited with her mother, Mrs. Thelma Butler Wednesday afternoon. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cowan Saturday night were their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Johan Van Zeben and four children from Granger. The Van Zeben family enjoyed supper with her parents. Miss LaRae Butler from Kearns and her sister, Mrs. DartheUa Cook from Goshen visited with their sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cowan Sunday afternoon. They also visited with an uncle, Ray Huish and sister, Lenora Huish Sunday night.
