Show THE PAYSON CHRONICLE SANTAQU1N 5 Thursday, March 13, 1969 GOOD ients. Cover; simmer for 30 minutes. Serve over toasted buns or toasted bread. Yield: 10 servings. SUPPER ON A BREAD SLICE 23 cup evaporated milk 112 lb. ground beef GOOD COOKS Corner 1 Mrs. Thelma Lance in a rainbow array to cover sides and one end. (use flaked cocoanut) Dont cover the other end of the marsh-mello- w - the sticky surface1 of this end adheres to the cooky. Place cocoanut trimmed marshmellows, sticky side down, in center of eacy cooky, for crowns. The hatband and bows are fashioned out of confectioners sugar icing, tinted, if you like. (Add just enough milk to confectioners sugar to make icing the consistency to put through a pastry tube. Another flavor of icing my family prefers is to use a lump of butter and enough freshly-perke- d coffee to obtain desired consistency. Tuck a fresh mint sprig feather in the hatband before your icing sets. Those are really delightful and can be used as centerpieces for tables. For your Easter table, you can make a unusual and colorful centerpiece by graduated squares, made of narrow, pointed slats Qoined by brads) and interlock them in sort of a puzzle fashion or telescope or zigzag them. Paint plastic foam eggs and string on ribbons of different colors. Fasten to top of each square. Add a saucy bouquet of sprint flowers in center where squares join. BAKED EASTER HAM Place whole ham, fat side up, on rack in shallow pan. Insert meat thermometer in center of thickest part, tip not touching fat or bone. Bake in slow oven (325), uncooked 8 lbs - 25 minutes per lb or a total of approximately 3 hours. A cooked 6-- lbs - 15-minutes per lbs or a total hours). Half an hour before ham is done remove from oven and pour fat drippings from pan. If desired, score ham fat, making cuts with paper I told you about last week, making cuts 14 inch deep. Spoon orange marmalade over ham. Continue baking about 30 minutes more until well glazed. ham 6-- 8 NOTICE 17 of 2 egg 18 12 12 salt tsp. pepper A RESOLUTION cup chopped onion cup bread crumbs AN IRRIGATION TAXFORTHE YEAR A.
