David was born in Payson on October 30, 1961, to Glenn and Nona Tervort, both natives of Payson. He has two brothers and one sister: Eldon, 21, wrestled when he was in Payson high school and at the present time is attending Trade Tech, in Provo. Tommy, 18, played football at Ricks College in Idaho last year and at the present time is on a mission in Mexico City. He runs the hurdles and the 100 yard dash and last year his relay team went to State. Tervort plans on college after graduation from high school and hopes to play football and maybe baseball there. On its completion the county Will take over ownership and will be responsible for its maintenance. Chamber of Commerce members, with A. Leland Elmer, formerly of Payson, as executive secretary, recently toured the site with Jay Ence, Washington County Racing Assn., official. The track will be full approved, according to Mr. Ence who pointed out that there are only two other approved tracks in the state--on- e at Richfield and the other at West Jordon.
